from what I have seen and was told by @psychoscot is that they end up always going back in stock right around release time... but there is also the Taiwan Version that was announced, will most probably dump my Cinderella zavvi order and go for Taiwan
I'm sure they will Danthese distributors know how to milk us for every penny we have at our disposal.
I sometimes wish the other retailers have the same level of pro-activeness as Zavvi when it comes to announcing.
Didn't even know about the upcoming Taiwan release. Thanks for sharing! I'll definitely keep an eye on that one from now own.
The Taiwan version was just announced yesterday or Today, but now same as zavvi we need to wait for artwork but Taiwan is pretty good to give updated artwork before release... as opposed to Zavvi... but zavvi states this is a Zavvi exclusive, but they stated the same thing for Malelfiicent and Spain ended up with same steel design as Zavvi(which was supposed to be exclusive to Zavvi as they stated in their title)
As far as I recall, Zavvi exclusive only means exclusive to Zavvi within the UK. Unless it's WEA, the same steel may still be distributed in other regions of the world. [emoji6]
Thank you for the specification, it makes sense, since both maleficent and Cinderella are not WEA I guess Zavvi will be the only one releasing the steel within the UK and other country will have a go at the release if they chose to do so, same case as Whiplash
You need to order two or more Steelbooks to use BANK10. I think the other one has expired now.
No Taiwan Version is only 1 Blu-ray Disk (no 3D of the film exist)
Kenneth Branagh Decided that he wanted to do the Straight and Classic Version of the film without any twists or 3D...
It surprisingly did well apparently in China Opening weekend and Russia as they are very keen to 3D and this was just a regular 2D release...
I am disappointed that first they didn't do a similar type of version as Maleficent, to add a Twist, make it Darker at times and and offering 3D to have a second and different viewing Experience.
I feel that Maleficent successfully achieved this so beautifully reason why it is in my top 5 favorite movies of last year. It is a shame that the Director for Cinderella didn't bring us on a similar Journey...
Classics are classics for a reason. No twist needed.
Don't make Snow White a feminist with hairy pits. Don't make Prince Charming a fey interior designer.
Don't make the villians tragic heroes. Leave it alone.
I think Branagh is heroic for going AGAINST the PC grain and telling the classic tale as it is meant to be told. And THAT is something in this age of politically correct nonsense in Hollywood.
