Zavvi is going to be WWA design. More likely gonna be the shoe. Don't hold your breathe for Zavvi to make any changes until after orders have been shipped.
This title will never been in danger of selling out anytime soon (please disregard that SOLD OUT Zavvi temp placeholder).

Will be keeping my order, but returning it immediately if it changes from this art. Taken screen caps from their site as there is no way they will update the art knowing they will loose a ton of orders as people will go for the Asian slipped versions! It's GOTG cassette level bad!

You can cancel it now. Of course the art will change.

after they ship out orders, and change the ''place holder artwork'' afterwards

Contacted them throught Twitter and got the usual "Oh yes I'll pass that on and get it sorted" garbage. They won't update this, they'll loose too many orders.

Will give them a week to get it sorted or bye bye order!

one of my steel got lost in the mail and they want you to sign a paper apparently when this happens, and other members who this happened to said not to do so as it could be a way for thme to use this against you, they have no tracking to provide me, I feel I'll have to bring a claim with My Credit card...

and after my Cinderella steels are received from Taiwan I am cancelling my orders with Zavvi...it will be same artwork worldwide I don't know how zavvi could pull a WEA when every other country is the same artwork, this is Disney afterall too... no wiggle room...

That's all nonsense @Actarus. This happened to me a couple of times over the years. You have to fill out a form stating which item got lost and email them scan of it. It's standard procedure for their own records.

I did this, and with a few days had my full refund or replacement sent. No questions asked.

But because it's Zavvi people get on their high horses and take it as a personal Vendetta!

Are people genuinely expecting this to have exclusive artwork or just being ignorant as a means to criticise Zavvi?

I'm not holding my breath but Zavvi have a good working relationship with Disney regarding exclusives, and with the dislike across the forums and social media for this titles WWA art Zavvi will know full well they aren't going to shift many of these at full price. People are already jumping ship for slipped versions to cover that hideous art, and it's at Zavvi's cost. When it comes to Disney/Zavvi never say never.

Criticism is 100% warranted. They are quick to push products but very reluctant in a world where often better versions are available to give further information because they know it means cancellations. Just look at their recent 80% off email featuring many "once sold out" steels, and premium steels at knocked down prices. They aren't shifting them anymore, so it's in their best interests to either give full info up front and art as soon as possible or follow Filmarena and invest more in their packages. Customers are moving away from domestic purchases now in much greater numbers just look at the influx of members here over the last few months all joining GB's as fast as they can for import products.

The art was announced for this steel a while ago, Zavvi should have updated their listing to reflect this. They haven't because they read these forums and know it's going to mean cancellations and people either going elsewhere or waiting for a much cheaper price. [emoji3]

I think this is 100% right.

While Zavvi aren't the quickest to update information, and especially artwork, they must be aware by now the general dislike of the WWA. Their's will be the same, I've no doubt. Only the US stands any chance of different artwork these day when it comes to Disney steelbooks, with Captain America: TWS and Thor: TDW having titles on them. Even then, despite the dislike of titleless Marvel releases, GotG only got one on the front. Since then, there has been other versions but you get the point.

I'm sure Zavvi would love an exclusive design, but it's just not going to happen. Disney are far bigger then any retailer could dream to be, so they'll do what they want. It's up to those retailers to decide whether they want to sell their products or not. Zavvi would rather run the risk of returns (most buyers will just tut and sigh), than the risk of cancellations (I've cancelled mine however).

Swings and roundabouts.

The thing is that Zavvi have not secured exclusive artwork in the past (Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Frozen, Guardians of the Galaxy, Iron Man 3, The Lone Ranger, Maleficent and Monsters University were the same as other countries) so there is no reason to believe that will be the case here.

I agree that Zavvi should update their listings but there always seems to be a conspiracy where Zavvi is concerned which is a bit ridiculous. I don't know how a company can be constantly scheming yet display a high level of incompetence at the same time. It is possible that Zavvi are aware that Kimchi are releasing an edition that is likely to affect their sales but I think it is more likely that Zavvi haven't been provided the artwork or are have simply not bothered to update the listing.
