Cheap-looking and tacky and that's just the badly executed front image which at least is embossed.
Thank heaven for small mercies . . .

Overall it's just plain ODD IMO.

As pictured in the mock-up with no spine title and a nasty partial slip that cuts right across the shoe which they couldn't even be bothered to emboss the title on to make it slightly more acceptable but IMO whatever they did to the slip the POSITIONING of it is just PLAIN WRONG - at least this is one steelbook that will look better without its slip !
Oh, wait, if you discard the slip you discard the title and you're left with a steelbook with no info on it

We should have had a variant of the Taiwan edition where the slip is sensibly positioned covering the top 1/4 instead of messing with the main image and partly covering it (n)

Shame the previous artwork wasn't used on the front as that would have fitted a lower partial slip where the design could have been continued onto it (as Disney have done successfully on so many other lower slips on their steelbooks).

Mine's going back as soon as I can get to the P.O.

2/10

I can see why people who don't open them might hate the slip. I personally love this, the price was a bit steep for one disc but I don't buy many steels so I don't mind as it's not very often.

WORST DISNEY STEELBOOK EVER (and that's saying something, I didn't think the trash bag that Frozen ended up being could be beaten) but no, this one is a real stinker. Mine arrived today also and I can't even begin to sum up why I hate it so much...but i'll try.

The front image looks low res and awful, there's no title on it ANYWHERE, it could be 'shoes the movie' for all anyone knows, and the paint job is just lacklustre and dull. Square ridge border for no point whatsoever, It's truly truly awful. Seriously if yours hasn't despatched yet CANCEL the darned thing and save yourself.

Bizarrely the back cover looks quite nice, the colours are good and it's a nice image, but the front and side are just a total let down. I get they want to sell to several territories so they've left the title bar clear, but there's not title ANYWHERE and it just looks really poor and bad, just bad bad bad (and not in a michael jackson bad = good way).

I won't be purchasing any more steels that have no title on them, when you have a large film collection who needs THAT headache of trying to decipher what's what from a row of blank side bars, no thank you.

It isn't rocket science to work out that you can still do a blank steel if you must but include a transparent slipcase sleeve with the title on for collectors in different territories so that they have a fricking TITLE on the film they own.

I think people are going a bit OTT IMO.

The steel doesnt look that bad. Yea fair enough it doesnt have a title on the spine but it has a picture of Cinderella on there so it wont be that hard to figure what steel it is when it is on the shelf.

Im looking forward to receiving it and watching it with my girls.

Don't be quick to judge until you have it in hand yourself. Sure, if you 'know' it's Cinderella then you know what it is, but frankly if no one had made me aware that that was meant to be Cinderella I wouldn't have known, it's hardly the iconic image of Cinders we all grew up with (which is fine) but it's just a lass in a blue dress if you don't know otherwise, is a title too much to ask?! It's not OTT to give a critical review of something you've bought and have in hand to judge, can't help it if they messed up. I'm full of praise for steels when done wonderfully (Korean Avatar, Farewell my concubine, Kim chi Monsters Inc, Kim chi Wreck it Ralph, Kim Chi Tangled, Gangs of New York (zavvi), The Signal (german) are all good examples of a product that looks and feels quality. This - is not.

I don't think it too bad either. My main issue is the title on the spine but we all know that's the new thing with new releases of disney, pixar and marvel steels. With the exception of Malificent. Do wish they all had title spines though.

I would of also swapped the back with the front but overall it's ok.

That reminds me, can anyone point me in the direction of someone who can make title spines? I have a couple that I would like to get and I remember someone making some for a price.

I can live without the title on front (as the shoe is pretty obvious), but WHY... oh WHY no title on the spine??? Everybody I know that has BD or DVD in his house store them on the side... so we ALL need a title to differentiate... so... WHY no title????

So... please give me ONE... only 1 good reason for NOT having the title...

Easily worst major release steel of the year and that price is hilarious. Pictures of this were posted in the Asian version thread so sorry but I don't have much sympathy for those who kept their order and are now not happy when the slip, finish and lack of title were known for over a month now. It's a £10 steel at best.
