Respect due to a fellow comic book reader, I can remember didn't they say Sting (the singer, not the wrestler) was the ideal choice back in the day to play Constantine? Still I'm curious to see how Justice League Dark will turn out.
Nice new avatar pic btw.

From what I last heard, the actors that Warner Brothers were looking at to play Constantine in the upcoming "Dark Universe" movie were Ewan McGregor or Colin Farrell.
Sadly, it doesn't seem like Matt Ryan is in the running at all, which is a shame, because I thought that him being cast as Constantine in the series was perfect.

I remember Sting's name being mentioned way back but I guess the studio wanted a big Hollywood name. I'm not holding out much for JLD after Batman v Superman and Suicide Squad. I think DC need to do something really special to get up to Marvel's level when it comes to movies.

You know, I've come back around for DC. While it's true that Suicide Squad was an unmitigated disaster in terms of studio screwery and reactionary mishaps- BvS was quite a solid film.
The theatrical cut of BvS was a editorial catastrophe, but in all fairness, that is what happens when a director is meant to cut out 30 minutes of footage- it ends up breaking the movie.
The ultimate cut of BvS tackled some fairly deep themes and handled some internal crisis' and existential turmoils on a personal and emotional level that gave the film and the characters some depth. Most of the characters' reactions to situations came from deeply rooted suppressed emotional baggage that they have tried to bury- and that's deep.

I think that saying that DC in any way shape or form needs to "catch up" to Marvel is unfair to what DC is doing. To their credit, each of their films do feel drastically different in tone and execution and have some sort of gravity to them. With Marvel, I feel that while every film is competently made- they all rather feel monotonous in tone. And that's not exciting nor is it interesting anymore.

Actually the theatrical cut is what happens when you let a TRAILER HOUSE edit your film.
Who the hell does that?
"The trailer looks great. Wanna edit the whole movie?":wow:

CAN NOT WAIT FOR THIS!
I'm turning into a MantaLabs groupie:LOL:
As for the movie I consider myself lucky as I'd never heard of or read the graphic novel so I had nothing to compare it with I was totally green! And I remember thinking at the end "That was absolutely brilliant can't wait for Constantine II"

Man I can't wait for the reveal

So far I've only collected their first 2 WEA full slips the first global edition full slip. Wouldn't mind continuing the trend but I could also do with a manta lenti package if it looks good

I'm only interested in their exclusive range though, got the first global but I'm not interested in any of the other WWA steel packages (so far) but their slips look nice from what I've seen
