Yeah, sold out in less than a day. But there were only 500 copies available.

Says something about the power of the steelbook community - once the word got out, they weren't around for long.

But I'd suggest checking the group buy forum - it should only cost you a little more to get the Canada copy - which will be the same.

I didnt realize it was online only so i figured id stroll into the store and do my thing, but then I actually read the listing and bam! too late.

I guess the real test of the American Steelbook frenzy will come to pass after we get all the ebay listings! you know some Anus bought a fifth of the stock for an ebay Mark-up.

Yeah, that's the sad part of this.

Some buyer that doesn't know much about the steelbook game will hear the words "limited to 500" and think they have the next Sucker Punch on their hands.

So the first few, until the Canada ones start showing up with regularlity, will probably go for an excessive premium.

Wow, some top secret stuff going on here. I wonder if the miracle that could happen is:

1. Target gets more to sell online, or
2. Target decides to make the 500 a true limited edition and comes out with another steel of over 20,000 in qty ala Iron Man 2, or
3. Target cancels all orders and refunds everyone plus $$ for their inconvenience.
