I can't believe there isn't a thread in here strictly for Beer. Well now there is.

So I'm going to Phoenix and this store is about 3 miles from the house I am renting. I need some recommendations of beer they sell. I'm looking for Hoppy beers please. I've had a few of them they sell but not allot. HELP ME OUT!

I put up a post in the ISO:FT thread and this guy messaged me saying he loves barleywines and rare beers from small local breweries. He wanted a King Henry, NG barleywine and a CW Exodus for the vanilla and the two turtle doves. I was all over that one even tho it was my last KH. I thought for sure I was getting the better end so I made sure I put in some great extras. He said he felt like I sent too much and says he will send me some Troegs Nugget nectar when it comes out. I didnt say no, but with the extras he sent there's no way he owes me more, lol.

I told him he can trade with me anytime he wants, haha.

off course while I was out buying these the postman dropped by with an package that I now need to walk down to the post office to pick(takes 5 mins) still it´s bloody cold out side since winter decided to come at last

the swedish monopoly store is awesome, we got hefty tax on it but they get loads things one wants to buy.
plus if an item is not in stock at my locale store but in the furthers north of sweden I can from my local store order it down to my store for free takes a couple of days but one can wait, plus one can also do private imports by them plus one can order online from some of the importers.

I picked up a 750ml bottle of Dogfish Head's "Faithfull Ale" (Pearl Jam anny brew) from Total Wine.

It was pretty cool --- I had to ask if they had it, and the lady had to get it from 'lock up'... they didn't even have any on the shelves.

The ale itself was much better then the reviews suggested. But more importantly, its a cool souvenir for this old PJ fan.

seen tv-show but the systembolaget(that what our nation wide monopoly store is called in sweden translates to systemcompany, also funny is that they had the seem colour on the signs as the state monopoly drugstore) haven´t had any release of any of the beers from Dogfish Head.

So I had a good day today. A buddy tipped us off that black note wad being released. It was and here is what a the few of us brought home! We are currently keeping it off the BA forums and letting all the local BAs know. I'm sure some idiot will post sometime soon tho. Oh well enjoy.

wow. thats awesome. how many did you guys get, 2 a piece?

i was lucky enough to be able to have this on tap, and it was fantastic. possibly better than BCBS and definitely as good as the best stouts out there.

central waters had their anniversary party last weekend. i couldnt go, but a friend of mine picked me up 3 bottles of Fourteen Fourteen, an imperial stout aged for 14 months is 14 year Buffalo Trace barrels.

then this week they released their BBBW and Peruvian morning. my wife and i woke up early this morning to make sure we got some! Two 4-packs of the PM and 3 of the BBBW

it was a brewery only release. i heard they only made 1000 bottles, but im not sure on that. the only reason i have any is cause of my friend. i made sure i compensated him generously for them too

Yeah i have been watching. lol its insane. I put an ISO:FT out for one of my bottles. Best offer was for a Midnight Sun Bar Fly which I will probably take.

it amazes me, ive been obsessed with craft beer for the past 6 months, and theres still tons of gems out there that ive never heard of.

i was thinking this weekend about the KBS release coming up in March. Odds are I wont be able to go; ill be on my surgery rotation and i dont think we get weekends off, and even if we do its only 1 a month so 25% chance.

In the rare case that I do get the weekend of KBS release off, are any of you guys planning on going? My guess is no, except for maybe splax, but if people are going we should plan to meet up.
