I can't believe there isn't a thread in here strictly for Beer. Well now there is.

So I'm going to Phoenix and this store is about 3 miles from the house I am renting. I need some recommendations of beer they sell. I'm looking for Hoppy beers please. I've had a few of them they sell but not allot. HELP ME OUT!

Thanks

BoB

Went beer shopping today!!!! Grabbed some Founders Curmudgeons Better Half and Dark Horse Double Crooked Tree. Then I decided to go to Big Rock Chophouse for happy hour and grabbed some Saison St Clair and Sour Cherry Tripel!!! Yeah buddy!!!

An impressive haul! How is the saison and the sour?

We had our monthly work beer enthusiasts meeting last night. I made it coffee stout month. We were supposed to have three, but the guy that was supposed to bring the third had a family emergency. We made do with Schlafly's Coffee Stout and my 2011 bottle of Bourbon County Brand Coffee Stout. Both are so good in so many areas, so we had a tie. The BCBCS would be perfect if you wanted a big complex coffee stout to take your time with. The Schlafly would be good for when you want more than just one.

They are both really good. Under the radar and under rated brewery

Over the past couple of days, I've stumbled into a couple of really good trades. This morning, I traded my CBS for one of the 204 bottles of Schlafly's BB Quad. I tried to get a second, but no luck. Tomorrow, I'll be trading for a BCBS Vanilla. Both trades are local. One guy works about two blocks from my office.

Oh man I had bcbvs this weekend it was so much better than fresh. Lots of vanilla. It was the standout of the tasting for me. Once I get home ill post pics from it.

I'm really looking forward to it. It's been near the top of my want list ever since I really got into craft beers.

My trade from Off arrived today!! Cant wait to start cracking these!!!

Wasn't paying attention. Put this in the wrong forum. Oops lol

Problem fixed!

I just noticed that I sent you 4 quads. I haven't had the Schlafly Quad yet, but I really liked the Boulevard BBQ.

so this batch was bad? are you going to make another one?

My batch was. I'll probably take another shot at it. Is the real thing good?

Your DCT has the new style label. Mine still had the old. Nice. Such a great beer

They've got a cherry stout too?!? I bet that was really good. We've had a couple come out down here like O'Fallon's Chocolate Cherry Stout, but I heard a lot of people were saying that it tasted like Robitussin.

yup! thats the bittersweet part of new glarus, they brew lots of amazing brews so you get great variety, but they don't brew them that often, usually just once every two years for their thumbprint series. so if you fall in love with one (like i did with their IIPA!), you gotta wait over a year to get it again :(

and it was very good! much more cherry than stout tho
