There's no way round the minions! Loved the film and would love a steelbook like the first draft you posted!
Having a creative week so had a go at Despicable Me 2
Had a spare half hour so I got all productive

I like the 2nd front and the first back artwork! But overall like the dark tone/colour scheme more...
And no frame on the front... DEBOSSED Title
What can I say, the mock ups in here are brilliant. If only the powers that be would listen.

OK, the first one just looks like one of the best steelbooks ever made. With high gloss and embossed title. Wow.
