same here got for 16 quid in-store at least it's mint ... there were a few but some had the dreaded mark across the spine

This was a blind buy for me. But as I love Time Burton's stuff I new I'd probably like it. I watched it tonight and (lo and behold!) I did enjoy it.

As usual It contains the awesome 'Burtonesque' visuals and quirky characters. My only gripe was that at nearly 2 hours it's a little overlong.

Bottom line-If you're a Tim Burton fan, then you shouldn't be disappointed

I agree with you about the run time, I reckon they could have cut maybe 15-20 mins off it.

i bet collectors have steelbooks coming out of there butts of ****** movies lol, its mainly about the look of the steels if your a colelctor who does not open them.

They didnt say it was a bad movie though, they just said they didnt love it! I will buy steelbooks of movies I didn't love but I thought they were ok. I am more likely to pick up an average movie if it comes in a nice looking Steelbook. I do admit I won't buy a steelbook of a movie that I don't like though, I have to want to watch it! Anyway I'm still waiting for this from HMV, I hope it doesn't take too long too arrive.

I'm actually quite surprised how quickly this arrived from HMV.
Ordered online on Friday, dispatched Monday and arrived today. Certainly alot quicker turnaround than some of my previous preorders

The film was ok - one I want to see again and one that I would eventually buy anyway. (Plus, it's another for the Johnny Depp collection). So I thought I'd get a nice steel while I can.

Love the steelbook, but for me the film was a big letdown...If it ends up in the sales cheap Id consider it, but its a pass for me otherwise...

Was just pointing out that I've had previous preorders dispatched on a Tuesday/Wednesday and take a week to arrive while this one only took 2 days from dispatch
