I've received mine in cardboard boxes but I have seen a couple of people who still got the jiffy bags.

yeah i'm not sure whether to just chance it and order online cuz i live far away from hmv, but with my luck i have been having lately that might be a bad idea lol

Mine just arrived with a cut through the cellophane and onto the spine does anyone know if I'll be able to exchange this instore?

This is the 4th steelbook I've had spine slashes on, from Amazon, Play and now HMV. It's getting a bit ridiculous.

I haven't opened it - all I want is a replacement that isn't damaged. I might give them a ring and ask.

Go into store and buy one, then take the damaged one back with the receipt for the mint one and get a refund.

As far as I know they won't exchange items that you have bought online. You have to send them back for a replacement.

yeah i ordered the dark knight rises then cancelled i'm fed up with all the hassle, was prepared to give em another chance but whats the point, its getting beyond a joke, i tried phoning hmv a few times earlier about something and nobody answered same happened last week, customer service is extremely poor with this place.

Mine arrived today with a slashed spine also. Straight back in the post for a return. What I thought more shocking though, was in my local HMV pretty much every copy of this and Wrath of the Titans had a slashed spine.

I've reserved a copy at my local HMV for collection on Monday and will be sending this one back. I just hope the ones instore aren't damaged.

Edit: And this is the first problem I've ever had with HMV steelbook/order and I've been ordering from them for years.

i think the problem is they dont care anymore, i went years without a single problem then since tnt all my steels come damaged. The steel i got today was nearly bent in half but the worst thing was the box was mint so this looked like it was packed already damaged.
