I've never seen this but have recently been getting "into" Robin's movies after rewatching One Hour Photo. Went for the US release of Good Morning Vietnam over the steelbook that I really didn't like the look of (weird that it has not had a regular UK release).

Is this a good enough film to get on a blind purchase? Everything I read says that this is an amazing film and really motivational, but is it a one of those deep philosophical movies or just a really enjoyable movie that anyone would like?

Peter Weir + Robin Williams + Robert Sean Leonard, Ethan Hawke, Josh Charles = WIN.

I think Mr Perry would have been proud that his son Neil chose a medical career and became head of oncology at Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital; although it seems that Neil's domineering father left some pretty deep scars; including changing his name to Dr James Wilson, a series of failed marriages, and an abusive friend - Dr Gregory House.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but this is the first time it's been available on Blu-ray in the UK? I wouldn't call it either cashing in or a tribute - just an overdue release!

It has been over a year since his passing, I think we are past the cashing in stage now.

Wow, a year, and I thought it was a month or two. My brain appears to have been a bit frazzled when I made my post, didn't realise it hadn't had a UK blu release either, mind you I was watching Donnie Darko earlier in the day, and I think I got trapped in my own time travel paradox somehow....

This arrived today - bought with HOOK on the offer - it's another OK steel though not in the same ballpark as HOOK .
Like the antique book colouring.
Like the de-bossed title plaque.
Do NOT like the white printed title on the spine and the white printed "Robin Williams" above the title on the front as the white stands out too much, looks out of place and clashes with the mellow colouring of the surroundings
All print apart from the title on the front would have been much better in the yellow/gold colouring used elsewhere . . . IMO, of course.

Got mine today also...... glad I didn't pay a lot for it (due to discount code), but love the film and always wanted it on blu ray... steel is just ok, nothing special.

Steelbook not that great has a poor quality look to it
It's a bit of a letdown
There is a slight debossed border frame in the middle but the title itself is not debossed or embossed

Overall very disappointing







It's a Matte sheen finish that can look as if been gloss but it's not

Would have been better a steelbook if proper embossing/debossing was used and been a full gloss finish
with better quality print used

It's not a terrible steelbook but could have been a lot better
