I still don't understand this surprise thing. The idea is to be surprised once you open it? It's not like the internet will overflow with pics as soon as the first couple of folks get the items in hand...

Fox made FNAC take down pics of the Noel box, and I think FA had to take down pics of 5A and 5B for a while, so it's possible Fox are forcing an embargo on these which doesn't make sense for premium releases given the cost.

I’m not buying this as a new or fun tactic meant for the customers. My guess is that the approval process has been very hard for DP2, so either artwork is not 100% finalized yet or the available art is underwhelming meaning FA chose to hide it behind "Christmas surprise". Either way I think it’s a very bad way to handle it, and my guess is they’re simply hiding it because it’s underwhelming.

Personally im leaning more to something just not yet totally approved yet. I dont have any real facts to it, but knowing enough about other retailers and stuff like that its what makes me lean to that. Granted, if its something bad ass and new and they know they got a winner, then thats cool for it to be a surprise. If its already "out there" unpopular art etc. then that would be a big let down. But their releases in general have always been very nice so I'd like to suspect it will be well received in the end.

Guess we have to wait and see.

The best surprises tho are the ones not advertised that way no one can complain as it was a true bonus. That's how we did our Black Label coins for the Platinum Pack for Phenomena , (put them in a vhs case not advertised) just a bonus for when they showed up.
