I know they are trying this new lenti thing and stated a while back it would be a bit more but it has to be one amazing lenti for such a price increase compared to the other editon

Why E2 more expensive than E1?

It's because it's a 3D lenti slip the 3D lentis cost more to make than the flip flops that they do. I think it's because they are doing true 3D renderings for these as well instead of taking a 2d image and turning it into a 3D lenti

999czk does seem pretty high for a 1-disc / non 3D release. Most 3D / multiple disc releases have been 899czk right? I hope that we won't see an increase in those prices as well...

Then again, I will probably go for both releases regardless... But only if the 2 slips are different enough. I've only douple dipped Birdman so far. Because I love the movie and because the 2 slips have very different styles. As opposed to most other 2 edition releases.

It's due to the extra depth lenticular effect that they had to create the 3D scene for. 200czk is not massive considering the extra work they had to put in to create and approve this custom artwork

Yes the hard box is 200czk more than buying the editions separtly. You have to figure in they gotta print the actual artwork for the box and then put the boxes together cost money not that much more for it. The lenti also cost more like previously stated the depth lentis cost more. I believe this is due to how they are actually making the 3D image. Unlike using a 2d image and making it 3D they are rendering the image in 3D. Not an expert on 2d to 3D lentis but I would say it prob involves cutting the photo some ways and stretching it or something.
