So here is what happened to me (Keep in mind i am EST). I fell asleep around 10pm last night and set my alarm clock for 12:55am. I logged onto my laptop and had the page sitting there. At 1am i click refresh button and the "add to cart" button was there, so i clicked it. Then it took me to the checkout page and the moment i clicked on Checkout, it says it was out of stock????!!!!!(LENTI ONLY) literally 1 min later " Which in my opinion is impossible". This is pure BS and i am furious.....

I think the website ****** up in my honest opinion, because there is no way that 1100 copies of the LENTI could sell out in 1 min, even with all the Group buys over here at HDN or even Blu-ray forum.... There would still be a massive amount available at least between 300-500 copies at minimum.

This is just insane and im a extremely upset. My wife gave me the OK to go ahead and order the Steelbook beacuse it has been a while since i ordered anything and look what happens...

Now i have to go freaking pay $70 bucks (Ebay) for a film i could have paid $45 with shipping included...

Anyone agree with my statement?
I agree with the fact that your wife gave you permission to buy this steelbook :LOL:

Totally agree, I was exactly the same got up half 5, had it in basket and goes to checkout, sold out. What a laugh now I've been up all day heading for afternoon shift.
Happy for all genuine collectors who got a copy

Going forward we will be running KimchiDVD Group Buys via HDN

As I have posted previously in this thread I will look at changing the limit on copies, depending on the print run and depending and how much notice we are given. Deadpool was given to us literally last minute, but we've been told going forward we should have at least 1 weeks notice to get a GB running, etc

If GB's for every retailer is the way forward, then I suggest that the limit should be 1 copy per person.

If you're in for a 1 click, then that's your copy. No buying 1 clicks and also one of each 'to open or keep sealed' or whatever nonsense. To me that's just over indulging greediness and adds to someone else missing out. Everyone should be greatful to have a single copy.

Also, there should be correspondence between (at least) the GB hosts on this site and BD forum

Cross referencing should be done between the 2 GB's to find out if a person is on both. This could try and cut down on multiple copies going to the same person/address. All it takes is communication between the 2 hosts. Even better if it's the same host on both sites!

That's just my opinion on it.

The next thing well have GB's for Zavvi because people couldn't be arsed making the effort to buy the item themselves!!

BR.com doesn't do hardly any GBs from retailers that ship internationally. Most of the GBs there are Blufans, UK (HMV), and German (MediaMarkt/Saturn). If that's the site you were referring to :D ;)

Hey guys, opportunism and the extremity of scalping occurs every time a release is perceived as being scarce or surfaces as rare or sought after...or if anxiety exists about missing out. Please refrain from attacking fellow members for their choice to sell items. If you don't wish to support a certain seller, do so by withholding the contents of your wallets.

Hey folks, I understand the frustration to miss out on a title you wanted but re-hashing the same over and over (mostly by the same people) isn't going to make a difference if you don't actually take the time to contact the retailer and voice your feedback via the available channels (social media, email etc...).

Furthermore, most titles bar a few end up dropping in "value" over time and can be had for cost or a little above cost on eBay and through other collectors. It's a waiting game.

That issue has already been expressed in the previous pages, but it seems some people were then banned from the retailers site for complaining. I believe we were recommended to 'ask nicely' by a member here.

What's the point in that then. It's a tricky situation but what can you do?

Anyway, back to the steelbook. Well done to all those who got a copy. I'm happy I missed all the drama this morning as I'm holding out for the FAC edition myself. :)

I have a feeling that once the Manta Lab Deadpool release comes out, everyone will forget about this one and the price will drop to roughly the GB price.

IMO - this is just speculation, not based on any insider info - this release was rushed and came out of nowhere to take advantage of an existing demand while the more premium editions (from other retailers) are pending approval.

In all cases, I skipped it because I have a hunch that what's to come is going to crush this.

I to think manta will knock this out the park:thumbs:

Its frustrated me missing out on this because i chose not to join GB because i wanted something else from kimchidvd today aswell.GB cost didnt bother me as the extra price was only a few us dollars.
I felt like this when i missed out on nova star wars. But hey ho i know have that in my collection so like @Apollon said its a waiting game to get what you want.
By the way i got that from nova direct 2 weeks after being sold out:thumbs:
