This film had very 3D esque sequences in it so I was surprised there wasn't a 3D release. Although personally this gets a +1 from me for not cashing in for the mere sake of it.

I missed out on this release. What differentiates the Zavvi release from the other international releases like those from Media Markt in Germany or Amazon in Italy or France? Is there any difference to the Steelbook or are just the languages on the disc different?

despite my distaste at buying anything from Zavvi, I have to admit that this is a stunner of a steel, with excellent extras(on par with those of Iron Man IMO...sticking with the Marvel theme too) so was worth the worry of it arriving untarnished in those flimsy boxes.

Have to say am very happy all round - Disney/Marvel Studios should take note regarding the extras here - good length doc's, a good chunk of deleted/extended scenes FTW.
So happy with the steel itself, I may not bother jumping on a lenti release should one show up - the steel, effect and finish is second rate only to my Taiwan The Lion King - perfect.

the intro credits for sure would have been perfect in 3D...but I'm with you.
3D was not missed on this movie an therefore wasnt needed.

It took mine 5 days (shipped on 9th, delivered on 14th) to come to Slovenia. And damage free! It is a realy nice looking steelbook.

Finally took mine out the plastic and there's a small scratch Contacted Zavvi for a replacement but assuming they'll offer me a partial refund instead. Luckily its small so think I can live with it

Aww no that's awful, just got around to opening mine and it's got quite a few paint chips but it's out of stock so will just keep it but that's awful, hope you get another one

But as I said it's few paint chips (although my ocd went ) but I've decided to just keep it and seeing those worse ones it seems very small.
