. . . and a very nice release it is too judging by the pics of the Czech edition BUT I'm confused by those images in relation to the description on Zavvi's site as they appear to contradict each other . . .

- Czech edition appears to be super glossy all over and a total fingerprint magnet.

- Zavvi edition is matte, or zero finish at best, with according to the listing "Confirmed . . . Spot Gloss" most likely on the title, eyes and on the large "D" front and back.

Whatever we get I've got to say that the creative 'bossing looks absolutely great and turns this from what could have been an ordinary flat steelbook into a real winner

Potentially one of the best of the year - although some people may be bothered by those nasty scratches above the eyes (which are unfortunately part of the artwork) (n)

Personally, don't mind if this turns out glossy, zero or matte - it's all good :)

Well yeah, obviously.

It was just a thought, as changing your card details means you're in the area of the site to also add a new address.

(The last bit was a joke)

Like i said I can't remember but I have a feeling it's just cards details you can change when that happens

I know you can't update address details normally, but I wonder if you can add an address at the same time as changing the card details once there's a payment issue.

Good question. Probably not as it's a payment issue primarily; but this is very much wait and see, for you, I think.
Unless someone else has tried this previously?

Back on topic, Regarding the Deadpool steel, I'm amazed that some people are ooohing and ahhing at different eleases - when all the steels are exactly the same.
The only real variations we're looking at (so far) are the FAC and Manta releases - and my money is on the FAC; just too many people gladhanding Manta from the sidelines for comfort. But we'll see . . .

I'm pretty sure the red parts are matte (red face outline and title) in the video in the Czech thread

Look at the reflection of the black gloss, it's completely different for the red parts meaning zavvis description may be correct except when something is spot glossed we expect smaller parts of the art. This is more like spot matte!

Ha! "Revenge is sweet saieth the Lord".
Thinking about STAR WARS VII when comparing the U.K. (and others) edition with the far superior Best Buy edition with its title and 'bossing and ours without either.

In the case of DEADPOOL it seems that the boot is on the other foot with the U.K (and others) easily besting the Best Buy:-
Best Buy - No 'bossing, gloss finish, wrong way round title - like France (?) - but with 2 discs 1 BD, 1 DVD.
Zavvi - Yes 'bossing, gloss finish, correct way round title and with 1 disc ?

Personally don't mind wrong way round titles - and there are a few of those on U.K. steelbooks . . . very few - but the U.S./Canada edition with no 'bossing = damp squib.

Regarding finish: all editions are clearly GLOSSY (judging by the pics that I've seen) - and what's with the spot gloss nonsense in Zavvi's listing which as we know is a highlighting technique to be found on NON-GLOSSY (matte/zero finish) steelbooks !?
This steelbook is as glossy as can be and though it does look super smart I'm going to dig out my white cotton gloves before I handle my copy - judging by the state of the one on the short video clip on another thread.

I was thinking out loud really.

My copy is fine, my card details are in date and I haven't moved (although I had this issue years ago with the Indiana Jones releases as I'd moved by the time they finally came out). I was just saying these ideas for anyone who might be in that situation now, and in response to someone who brought it up.

Thanks for the advice though.

Does anyone know if the Deadpool steelbook comes with a digital copy? I've pre-ordered it on iTunes as well so if it does come with said digital copy I can cancel my iTunes copy.

The Czech and Zavvi release are the same steelbook it's the European release from Fox made in Scanavo denmark
Zavvi just have the retailer exclusive for the UK and the same steelbook is available from various retailers in europe
They are the same steelbook

The USA/Canada steelbook is different because it's made in North America Scanavo
Why it's different for North America is strange but for whatever reasons they did make it different to the European release

Ordering the amazon italy version. For some reason I thought I had this pre-ordered. Hope it doesn't come back in stock... that would be a typical Zavvi move though

UK release comes with HD Ultraviolet Digital Copy
I don't know if it includes iTunes Digital Copy it's possible but usually in the UK it's only a UV Digital Copy

I'm in the UK. So does this definitely come with UV copy? I might cancel the iTunes pre-order of so, it seems pointless to have it twice one on iTunes and UV, especially since I have the Flixster app.

Yes, this is reportedly coming as Digital HD/SD/HDX UV Vudu, Google Play, iTunes due to be released tomorrow the 26th April which is a good seven weeks before the physical release here in the U.K. on the 13th June.

As we know the Digital HD Code will be included with the BD release - as well as with the separate DVD release - and although Zavvi's site makes no mention of any code the information is there to be seen in the listing for this steelbook on BD forum and I quote "DEADPOOL Blu-ray/Zavvi Exclusive/Steelbook/ Blu-ray + Digital Copy".

You're not wrong and according to reply just received from Scanavo to my enquiry:-
HI Nicholas,

On the version we produced for Europe it is a spot gloss. I do not know any other versions in other territories.
Spot Gloss is when part of the artwork is in matte and part of the artwork is in Gloss.
Gloss: All artwork is in Glossy
I hope this is helpful. Have a good day.

Looks cool and looks like they have created spot matte!

So, an update on the moving/address story, as confirmed by other ninjas, zavvi cannot amends orders once they've been placed. We moved on March 4th and have redirected the mail for 3 months which is pretty unfortunate considering it'll run out on the 3rd June, a week before its released. So I've now preordered the Amazon.it one now.
