Not cool Zavvi. I don't recall this ever been listed at anything higher than £22.99, so I don't see how anyone is saving £7. I know Universal Steelbooks are usually pretty expensive but this is a new level. I'll go one better than saving myself £7 and save myself £22.99 (or £29.99 in Zavvi's eyes) instead :)

Thing is, if i thought no one was going to preorder due to the price then we could all email zavvi n explain why. I would say a huge chunk of their business comes from members here. However, when the majority still preorder at the high price, zavvi have no reason to reduce. I'm not happy to pay £23 but i have preordered for the moment in case it mysteriously goes oop.

Preordered but not happy with price.

It doesn't mention the 4000 limit (Nightmare states the 5000 limit), so I'm guessing this will be increased as they see fit

What annoys me is how random their pricing is, they just seem to make it up as they go along. This isn't even a Disney release so any defence that Disney are shoving up the prices has gone.

You've gotta be a pretty big fan of a film to pay £23 for it. Personally I cannot justify it, whether it goes OOS or not I can live with it.

Why have you preordered if you're not happy with the price and don't trust the print run figure (suggesting that you don't think it will sell out)? Surely this justifies Zavvi's decision to charge that price if some are going to preorder anyway?

I only just might have ordered if it was a double disc with 3D but a single disc .... not a ****ing chance.
Put my order in with Amazon for the 3D version at £18.50

Havn't ordered yet will prob end up with the german one to go with the 1st as you get more.

Zavvi is proving very good for older films but is letting itself down on modern films e.g. Iron man 3 and DM 2, with no 3d.

only thing that may bring zavvi to their senses is if nobody pre-ordered it. if they are still stuck with 4k of these a few days to release, they might finally wake up

most people are pre-ordering it "just in case it goes out of stock" - i used to be as guilty as anyone for that, but no longer.

if aladdin is still popping up from behind the sofa a month or so after release and this is coming out in other places across the world. pretty sure, they will still be available long after release date

Have just ordered it because it does look like a great steelbook, but not too happy about that price:( zavvi seem to be getting a bit greedy now!!

I'm going to wait it out on this one. This was a definite pre-order for me but their pricing is getting way out of hand.Having thought about it, i don't have the first in steel so amaray will do for this too. With the amount of releases there churning out,you can't buy everything. It's not easy not jumping in on some of these pre-orders as they go live, but if enough of us don't maybe they will re-think it.
