Who actually dictates if the steelbook comes with 3D ?

Look at Amazon , Play & HMV all there steelbooks had the 3D disc included in the new releases .... Life of Pi , Wolverine , Prometheus , Hobbit extended etc etc ... so why is it just Zavvi that are bending us over a barrel with the new releases ?

Even Amazon Germany are looking after us with their releases as well ... Pacific Rim , Despicable Me 2 !

Is this really just Zavvi screwing us over by making the decision ?

My arguement totally, Kingkarl1967. I think it's to make us buy both. All new releases that have been in cinema in 3d, like the ones you have mentioned above, are having 3d disc included.....apart from......... Zavvi! I've ordered this from Amazon.de, as they have the 3d disc included.

I'm pretty sure that it is the studio and not the retailer who decides on content. It's not as if Zavvi have started a trend of excluding extras and 3D discs, that was well established before Zavvi started releasing Steelbooks.

Its 30euro on Amazon.De for the 3d, so it seems quite a fair price maybe from Zavvi, plus the artwork is better IMO, and its English title.

I think UK collectors have been spoilt in regards to pricing. Amazon.de and Amazon.fr regularly price their respective releases at above the price Zavvi are charging (just take a look at the prices of Man of Steel, The Hangover 3, Kick-Ass 2, Monsters University etc. in Germany). It's just that we are used to paying less than £20 for a Steelbook. That doesn't make it right though, so I won't pre-order this unless the price drops which is very doubtful. If it sells out, then so be it.
