I am curious if there's a way to determine what region(s) a Blu-Ray disc is. I'm not looking to rip it and strip it of the region coding.

I just want to verify the Region Coding of discs that don't include the Region symbols (most US releases).

If they are US releases they will be region A. Some discs from certain studios like Warner brothers will be region free. I think putting it into a computer would be the best way to find out what region it is.

Forums or reviews are the best place. There are a few websites that specialise in it.

Easiest option is to pick up a multi region player. Problem solved then ;)

It's really tough mate, some discs even show you a Region A logo, but are in fact region free. WB, Paramount and Universal Studios are usually region free. All other US release are a hit or miss. Criterion is strictly region A, I believe Anchor Bay and Weinstein releases are too.
