Got my reply from Bert.....

"I’ll let you know Thursday Gavin,"

Seems like a weird reply is this normally how the shop operates for orders?

He's been having problems with this particular Steel as my earlier post stated. Note that you have to change the country on Bert's website for shipping and that you confirm virtually every step which is a pain, but it's worked faultlessly with me in the past. Looking forward to the Dutch version.

It seems Devil's Double will not be available at MM stores, at least, that's what the guy at MM told me!
The biggest Free Record shop at my home town had about 14 copies on the shelves, all of them opened and not one sealed copy behind the counter. I had to go to 3 different FRshops before i managed to get a sealed/mint copy

Sealed copies arrived from Bert this morning. This is a tasty looky Steel. Definite improvement on UK version even with no inside art, external art is enough to justify. The logos are very restrained as well, and emboss/deboss spot on.

still dont think this is better than HMV, the front cover doesent get away from no inside art and no rear art. one of which the HMV has and the front is cleaner on the HMV regardless of embossing.

I agree with you based on picture. I like it more than the HMV version. This is the GOLD (front artwork) and SILVER (inside artwork) version :scat:

embossed/debossed is everything to make a great steelbook... and there are a lot of collectors who go for that only...

the rating logo is not distracting at all since it blends in with the color. I didn't even noticed it.

Also, love the gold-banner. Only the rich folks pay $$$ banner steelbook. For example, folks still paying $$ for I Am Legend banner vs. non banner.

I have the HMV, and it's so plain looking and feels cheap. The back artwork is plain looking as well.... It's the most light weight steelbook that I own. When I pick it up, I feel like I'm picking up a cheap plastic amaray...seriously. I guess that's why HMV is selling them so dirt cheap.

Anyhow, buy what makes you happy...I'm not happy with my HMV version at all.

Wreck, that's amazing. How did you do that? Did you work something out with the distributors or something to get a custom made one? I like all the casings on the back. That looks awesome.

what freedom said. :) I've gotten really good at popping steels out of their plastic insides ... just always work from the top when sticking in a card to then pop off front/back etc.

Front artwork is NL and back artwork is UK:hilarious::scat:

Yeah I had to do it ... while the colors of gold are slightly diff , it still looks good to me. Its funny how the bullets drop on back and then look on front left corner ... its like they are dropping through to that front too.
