If this had a glossy finish, it would be awesome but as it is I'm glad I cancelled. Black is the most overused colour when it comes to Steelbooks and matte is the most overused finish. When you combine them, it is bad news for collectors.

The back pic could have been bigger to reduce the black space. Glossy finish would have improved this greatly too, but this still looks nice. Interior art looks good too. Overall, I like it.

Yeah, I think the red circle could have been made to be the same size on both the front and back to give some symmetry

Matte black ink must be cheap as chips, hence why studios love it so much.

I use a prepaid card for my Zavvi orders and forgot to add money to it beforehand so I got the payment could not be processed thing. Added money to the card and the next day they send out The Little Mermaid, but cancel all of them except for Starship Troopers which still says it's processing. Have no idea why Wicker Man got cancelled since that's not even due yet. I put in a new order this morning for the ones I still can. Guess the two of us (and I assume all the other people who've also probably re-ordered) will have to wait till Monday to see what happens next. Dun dun duuuuun

Yep that is the same thing that happened to me. Put money on the card and then got hit with the Zavvi.com - Order Cancelled email.

I grow weary of them and hope that I can catch the short restock Wreck was talking about for Tron and Rocketeer. If not then I'm not sure what I'll do, well besides being disgruntled. lol

Worst part is, I had 3 Trons. Messaged them to cancel two. They were willing to do that and I was happy. Then next thing I know everything was cancelled. I fail to see the logic behind it.

I cancelled all of these apart from rocketeer not good enough with all the matte finishes fed up of them to be honest, gloss finish is rare these days.

These arrived this morning.

Initial reaction this morning when these arrived

All 3 are title embossed with embossed frame except for Starship Troopers.

I gather people are not liking the design and interior to The Rocketeer, but since it is not out on blu ray here (U.K.), I guess I am lucky to get a copy at all.

Hope everybody gets there's soon, if you are still waiting.

Looks like Zavvi has moved my reorder for this and The Little Mermaid to "awaiting dispatch".

I hope that is a good thing.

Not overly impressed with these, to be honest. I've taken some light intensity photographs to try and show that the horrible Warner UK Premium Collection Range finish (remember the one where you apply light and the image disappears) has resurfaced.

If Zavvi made sure 30% of their steelbooks didn't arrive damaged with dents and scratches, they might actually be able to put out more glossy steels. Which could make the steelbooks more resistant to things like paint chips etc. The only reason for matte on this steels is that it's cheaper than full gloss.
