Ok start listing the Disney classics you would like to see in steelbook (in the UK) that are NOT pixar titles.

Once this thread is big enough we will take the best options and run a poll to give "the powers that be" a better look at the numbers in regards to popularity.

I really hate being a bubble-burster, but the above films are either no longer classics, were never classics in the UK, were never classics anywhere, or are Disney/Pixar films.

I think the seminal releases are the most important: Snow White & The Seven Dwarfs, Bambi, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, The Little Mermaid, and The Lion King* among others.

Really, there's too many for me to provide a helpful suggestion, so I'd just like to let my voice be heard and say that I would LOVE to see more Disney Animated Classics get the steelbook treatment.



*Not an exhaustive list of 'good' Disney animation.

They could release just about any disney film on steel and I'm sure it would sell out farely fast between disney enthusiasts, steelbook collectors, and bluray collectors in general 4000 units would go quick.

First off, thanks to Wreck for putting this thread together - this definitely makes it feel much more legitimate than yet another wishlist thread. I'm also glad we're excluding Pixar, since every Pixar film has already gotten some form of "metal" release - (even though not in the UK).

My top three would be:

Dumbo
Tangled

That said, I would seriously buy each and every "Disney Animated Classic" (as in, the 52 and counting films as listed by Disney). The ones that haven't already gotten some kind of G2 metal release worldwide are:

I'd also like to mention (and I think most would agree) - for those films that have gotten a blu-ray release as part of the 2 Movie Collections with their sequels, I'd really like a steelbook of only the classic movie. For example - The Emperor's New Groove is coming in a 2 Movie Collection with Kronk's New Groove this summer - I would die for a steelbook with just "The Emperor's New Groove" on the cover.

Again, thanks Wreck. After the lawsuit with Viva, the future of Disney steels looked pretty bleak, but this is exciting.

Edit: I'll also second Song of the South - even an empty case if they don't want to actually release the movie lol. Also Mary Poppins and Enchanted.
