What's the deal with this release? I have read several posts, which clearly indicate that this Amazon.FR exclusive is supposedly really rare. Does anyone know exactly how many they got?

I pre-ordered this very early on, and was sent two by mistake. They are still with my parents back in The Netherlands, but i'll have them in-hand by next week. I'm pretty happy i ordered this as early as i did, because this seems to be a nice center piece to a Django Unchained SB collection.

I don't know exactly how many, but I'll tell you that it was sold out on the day of its release. I foolishly waited for release day, 18th May, for no particular reason other than convenience, and there was none left, and amazon.fr didn't put any Django steelbook online since. I had to settle for the UK edition (since they don't have French subtitles I'll buy a cheap BR edition at some point).

I had never seen that before. All of the amazon.fr exclusives I've bought over the past couple of years were still available at least a couple of weeks after their release. So I say it is extremely rare.
