Everone talks about flimsy. How do you know its not the plastic that the steel wrap around? Just sayin.

SOmone can weigh the metal separately and compare to other releases I guess. I personallhy think the plastic is cheaper and thinner causing it to bend easier.

Another thing is anytime you have a embossed boarder around the steel there is a gap between the steel and the plastic. A one disc version is also going to be more flexable than a 3 disc version becasuser of that gap.

Because some people actually unwrap their steelbooks. There is actually a disc inside the steelbook :p.

And it is flimsy. Even after you removed the plastic. That's the UK release though. But I am sure it's the same with all the releases... (with the same design, don't think Target one has this problem but I could be wrong. Target one did not have any embossing).

In fact Taiwan steelbook is all import from other country (most of them).
So it's the same in other country.
But will have some special slipcase or maybe preorder gift!

Read my post again. I am not talking about the plastic wrap. I am talking about the plastic tray the steel is attatched too. I already stated in my post I think the plastic trays are getting flimsy just like the eco cases for amaray.

Would be nice if the colors matched. Red on slip is bright yet on steel it is dull. Pass

The red on the steel is not dull. It is a nice metallic matte blood red. The red on the slip could be better but it still complements the steelbook's looks.

I like the three big Chinese title words. The reason for these big black words on the strong red background, making the title shout out, is because the Chinese title translates to 'ORDER TO KILL'!

I think the TW slip adds character to this steelbook and makes it really stand out.

I'm pretty sure it's not the plastic tray getting thinner, it has been mentioned before that the metal that is used now is thinner than on several older releases. Add that to some heavy embossing/debossing and you are going to see some flexing on the Steelbook.

That's what i said, until i caught the "Asian Slip" bug. In terms of actual SB design, i like the FS release the most, in spite of the lack of any embossing / debossing. This Taiwanese release looks great, though. It'll look nice alongside the Korean version.

Looks cool, but I'll be sticking with my Target and FS versions:)

As for the "Flimsy" statement i made a while back - i am talking about the thickness of the material they used to manufacture the actual SB. I haven't been in the SB collecting game for very long, but even i can see and feel how thin and "light" these Django Unchained SBs are. I received the UK one first, but knowing all of these debossed / embossed SBs come from the same place - they're all the same. If we compare these to, say, the new KimchiDVD T2 or even the Jack Reacher SB, they are most definitely inferior in terms of material quality.

Now, to me, this doesn't matter "too" much - for i'll be leaving mine sealed. Though, after repeated use, i can see it becoming a problem.

Yeah some are flimsy some arent ... sux. All the classic oldies tho are thick debossed etc. (ie. hellboy 2, death race etc)

got mine today!

The Withnail and I from Zavvi is flimsy too. Could this be saving of the steel material to squeeze more margins?
