The European editions have no spine title, there is no reason for the English steelbook to have one. Disney doesn't put a spine title on its steelbooks to save production costs and reissue its steelbooks with a title and a lenticular magnet a few months later. Editing this steelbook now with a spine title would be contrary to their commercial policy which consists in making as much money as possible.
Like you, I hope to be wrong, but that would be surprising.

Maybe something changed policy wise at Disney UK HQ.

Do you seriously think that the report of spine titles on this and on other (MOANA, ROGUE ONE) and on future Zavvi Disney U.K. steelbook releases was just something made up on the spur of the moment and is without substance or foundation?

You may or may not remember the reports from the third quarter of 2016 . . . both regarding Disney steelbooks.
REPORT #1 from November 2016: information that Disney was in the process of fixing the scaling and alignment issues of their lenticular steelbooks..
This was after the issues raised by their AGE OF ULTRON lenticular steelbook DONE
REPORT #2 from December 2016: information that all future Zavvi Disney U.K. steelbooks would come with titles on spines.
This was after the issues raised by their FORCE AWAKENS steelbook

I ask only to believe it. But why only for the UK? It will cost them less to make the same edition for everyone. That would be a total misunderstanding, and then if that is the case, the other countries are crap?

Others countries can have different variations of the title.

A bit harsh ? IMO not crap at all.
IMO the other countries' steelbooks look just great with the spine being the way it is . . . imitating an antique book in metal . . . how cool is that

Looking at images of the spine of the steelbooks that we've been privileged to see I've got to ask myself, "Where's the title going to sit ?" as to my eyes it looks pretty crowded on that thin strip of metal what with all the fancy decoration.

Only way around it is "clean" spine plates for the U.K. which I don't imagine is a massive job - 2,000 spine plates with titles (or however many there are) designated for the U.K. - but yes it's a mystery why the whole world can't just have an English language title for an English language film . . . but then again what do I know about how these things work . . .

I'm looking forward to this, but even I have to admit the Blufans edition is killing it.
Glad there's a choice.

For sure, I don't have a huge issue with Disney's UK steelbooks (apart from zavvi's lenticular re-release cash grabs) but it's all about Blufans for me - they've been knocking it out the park of late

I'm actually torn on which release to go for. I really like the book design but still want the blu fans to match the rest of my collection.

It was a much easier descision for me passing on the GOTG & Antman zavvi releases!
