Thanks CC . . . was waiting for that info . . . and thanks in particular for confirming another territory without spine title (think that's Spain, Germany and the U.S. so far).
Does seem incredible that Zavvi has persuaded Disney to give us in the U.K. a spine title and that it's not happening anywhere else. . .
Kudos to Zavvi for having accomplished something of this earth-shattering magnitude (lol).

Am I the only one with doubts about Zavvi getting the title on the spine? Multiple countries have now been confirmed to have no spine title despite it being shown in the picture on their sites (Australian steelbook can be added to the list along with Spain and the others), so despite Zavvi's assurances (given in a way that I feel gives them wiggle room), I'm still a little sceptical.

Spine or not, cancelled this. Art and finish aren't what I wanted, plus already secured a Blufans copy which I much prefer

So theres definitely one cancellation coming for those that missed this!

What wiggle room? They said confirmed which sounds pretty unequivocal to me. By that date, surely the disk cases were long since produced so hopefully someone actually checked one to confirm.

I hope so anyway, it's a cracking looking steelbook.

Idk, I just feel like they could put it on Disney and claim they were told it did have the title but then it doesn't. It's just all the other official pictures that have claimed to have had a title on the spine haven't, so I'm wary.

But on the flip side, North America used to get the title while the rest of the world didn't, so there's definitely precedence for only one market in the world getting the titled spine. I guess we'll find out soon enough.

If they confirmed that the title is going to be on the spine, it's going to be on the spine. Just imagine the outbreak of complaints if it turns out to be the same as all others. Zavvi can't afford that. People already hate them as it is.

If I was in Zavvi's position, I would seek a confirmation for the title with Disney every single week until release date and forward updates to customers. If it turns out titless I would demand my money back and fast. Most of us would, I think.

Dont shoot the messengers. Zavvi only passed on what Disney told them. So far all of these have no title on the spine and i would imagine this one will probably not have one either. But i guess we will find out the truth soon.

I get what you mean but we as customers aren't priviledged to inside information but Zavvi is. Zavvi could easily, on behalf of their worrying customers, ask Disney if the title is still there or if the plans changed and will screw the customers. I could easily call Disney and ask them that and they would hang up on me. They wouldn't do that to Zavvi, though. If Zavvi is the messenger, they're doing a piss-poor job. Sadly, they don't really care that much about their customers.

Zavvi's steelbooks still sell out regardless of titles appearing or not. Despite what a few might feel about this, this title is still sold out and doing remarkably well in other countries too. Could we get actual pictures of the products we buy? That would be great but lets be realistic. Zavvi as a retailer sell thousands of products and can not nit pick their productivity range to exclusive pics from the warehouse.

Bottom line, they order the stock from the supplier and they sell it. There is no quality controller that goes into the warehouse to look and see if their supplier lived up to the promise of a title on the spine.

I understand your frustration. I really do. But no company works like that. Not unless you know George down in dispatch. :hilarious: (If you get my point)

How slim of chance does someone think this "exclusive" could be glossy (vs. the matte's everywhere else.)
Confirmed by Zavvi / Disney in mid December 2016 that ALL FUTURE DISNEY STEELBOOKS RELEASED IN THE U.K. WILL HAVE SPINE TITLES.
Source Steelbookpro:
"Zavvi a répondu à la question soulevée par steelbookpro :
“Oui, c’était bien précisé par Disney. Étant donné la réaction assez négative au steelbook du Réveil de la Force ils ont décidé de mettre le titre sur la tranche de Rogue One et de le spécifier pour rassurer les collectionneurs.”

Now only time will tell if DOCTOR STRANGE, MOANA and ROGUE ONE come like this in the U.K.. . .

Not matte anywhere.
It's a Zero finish . . . quite different (images of differences posted elsewhere) although of course not as different as a full gloss finish.
Spot glossed soldiers on this International steelbook.
. . . and if you want to know how fine this finish can look on a 'bossed steelbook with some of the same colouring check out the CLOVERFIELD (U.K.) release:-
