We are thrilled to announce a new collaboration with acclaimed genre distributor Arrow Video, launching with our version of the cult classic DONNIE DARKO, the first release in the 4K UHD Mutant Mediabook series. It features both the theatrical and director’s cuts on two 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray discs, with brand-new artwork by Greg Ruth and layout by Craig Oldham. The initial pressing is strictly limited to 2,000 units, featuring a 44-page mediabook housed inside an exclusive, first-run, numbered slipcase. It includes essays by Nathan Rabin, Anton Bitel, and Jamie Graham, an in-depth interview with Richard Kelly, and an introduction by Jake Gyllenhaal.

Also.

Is this a UK company?

Why are they charging this extortionate amount for local postage?
That's insane. The only options given. On principle, I'm not paying that for postage which has clearly been doubled in charge.
Are they not UK based then?

Edit: With the UK price. I just assumed they're UK based. But Mutant are US?

They have a base in the UK, yeah. Is £7 extortionate? You guys have it lucky over there if so.

Yep. Tracked 2 day shipping here can be had by Royal Mail 48hr tracked at half that cost.
UK to UK is £3.55 in fact.
So...err that's pretty expensive for a local delivery.

The one thing I'll say is they package their vinyls very well with very sturdy cardboard. If they'll do the same for these releases then I'd much rather pay an extra few quid than pay less and take a chance on the type of packaging the likes of Rarewaves or Amazon often use.

Their customer care is pretty good too. Had a faulty Dune 2 vinyl sleeve, they promply sent me a new one without any problems. Since plus, as you say, their packaging is quite good too I decided to place an order, maybe it's time to replace that blu-ray set.

Yeah - I hate when companies (for no readily-apparent reason) only give you ONE DAY or TWO DAY shipping options, and no option for a less expensive and slower 5-7 day shipping. They must get a kickback from the shipper or something.

I don't mind paying for 24 or 48 hour shipping, as long as it's reasonable. Remember, I guess most of us would only be buying the one item. It just seems that these three options are largely inflated against what is the norm or standard.
I love this set and will most likely end up purchasing it despite my misgivings over the postage. A small part of me feels taken advantage of because of the cost for postage - which is more or less 15-18% of the total value of the item you're buying and that is mad when you think about it.

"That really isn't tennis" as those posh folks say over here.

Thing is- it doesn't bother me to wait. Give me a slow boat 10 days shipping at $3.50 and I'll take that all day long!:D
