It's required for the embossing effect. Unless you prefer paint chips on your steelbook as it will collide when stacked with another steelbook.

I'd prefer no embossing on the back to be honest.

Dredd having no release date yet and it's already mid of november, so 100% sure it's gonna be 2016. We may get Fast & Furious Dodge Edition, Birdman and John Wick during this year. Terminator Genisys & Jurassic World maybe, but definitely not Dredd.

I sure hope that faint, brownish blob behind Dredd's head and shoulder is not going to be on the final product. That would be an instant dealbreaker for me.
