Shame it's not full gloss, but I'm definitely not going to judge it just from that one photo... although from what I can see it doesn't look like the streaky matte finish we get with most steels, which is great if so! I'm a big fan of spot-gloss when it's done right, so I'm looking forward to seeing how it looks in hand.

Of all my spot glossed Steelbooks, the only one that is not ultra smooth zero finish is the UK Gravity.

Don't we all have the experience of pictures not doing justice? How many times have you seen a steelbook look average in pictures and then have it be gorgeous in-hand? I have- quite few times. So I am not going by the pictures.

It looks really nice IMO. Understated, clean, simple design that fits the aesthetic of the film perfectly. I'm a fan of spot gloss, too. Might have to get this as well as the Nova one (wouldn't want my French tin/JP steel to get lonely after all)

Still can't see the red halo around him like in the first pic of the OP. I still hope that's a lighting issue... Not complaining yet though

Not sure what all the negativity is about, it looks exactly like the mock up. It has a debossed title which looks cool and it has an embossed badge on the back, what's not to like?

It's not though ? Karel showed a video where Judge Dredd was spot glossed. That's what I thought the end result would be like ...

Seems like FA are having problems meeting deadlines so skimping on the finish to quickly be done with this and start producing the other titles!
