The slip design is really not appropriate. It doesn't scream DREDD to me.

It's nice to see some original artwork being used on the slip. It looks ok from the mockup but I'm guessing it will look better in hand.

I would have personally liked a darker feel to the slip but I won't say it's bad. I'll be waiting to see what nova does and decide on what I like better.

I'll stick with the Japanese steel and keep my eyes on Nova's. Just not a fan of that slip at all. I like when they go for something different but sometimes it just doesn't click and here it feels like it'd be better off on the Stallone version imo.

The Nova artwork doesn't excite me at all. This steelbook says DREDD to me though, and I do like the slipcover. In fact I like this so much I want to buy two!

It has only just occured to me that I don't really like the Novamedia steelbook art (opinion subject to change based on final one). And I forgot one other MAJOR factor in all of this ...

The price! FilmArena's steelbook will cost under £28 GBP with all fees. Where as Novas will be much higher. And yes, Novamedia will have a nice lenticular (like they always do) but let's not forget the fact FA will also be including a lenticular.

You can see why FilmArena has risen to the top very quickly. You can't go wrong with the overall package for the price. Few quid more than Zavvi prices for a tonne more product.
