Nor am I but wish I was... :hilarious: I just meant the timeframe from when the GB opened to when we actually start to see any real signs of progress may be similar... :coffee:;)

Very true, didn't they have a quality issue with the actual steelbook though?

Seems a long time though for Dredd, I wonder what the hold up is?

I feel like FAC are getting a pass because of their name. I feel like there wouldn't be as much praise if it was released by the studio or Zavvi. Not a fan of matte black, even though it's a nice matte. The actual image of Dredd on the front looks dull and really could have used some spot gloss. The same image was used by Nova Media on their full slips except it had embossing, spot gloss, and was surrounded by a sandpaper-like finish. Don't like the border on the back either. The inside art is great though and I like the spot gloss on the title.

IMO that is not the case. not all FAC releases are/cannot be groundbrakers but they have better than excellent run.

one cannot even speak/write about FA customer service and zavvi's on the same day. and it's very important part of deal, for me atleast.

and zavvis steels are not premium in anyway. FA, PA are and NM too.

Jan and I talked about this a couple of weeks ago, and it isn't actually full on matt black; plus there is spot glossing.

As @nefilim said quite rightly, FA, are no exception to the rule that not every title will be groundbreaking or perfect - nobody has achieved 100% perfection across the span of their releases as yet. There willalways be titles you despise, artwork you loathe, extras you can't abide.
I really don't expect any single company can satisfy everyone. Thus many people pick and choose from the best ones.

I remember when the only 'steelbook' of Dredd you could buy was the Japanese one. Or the huge FNAC tin. Now there are so many...and while other Film Arena titles come and go, we're still waiting for this, and the Minions (that I guess we'll never see as it was announced a year and 3 months ago)

Well said Gadget . If it is the best out thire I do not mind the wait . At least FA have not wanted any money to secure copys . After John Wick the wait involved in that I have to say I'm a little wary . In my view it put far to much unnecessary stress on everyone involved waiting for the boxed edition especially .

The hard boxes I don't know how I feel about those yet. I have not seen a title I need (YES RICH NEED incase he is reading over my shoulder ) enough to hop on a GB .

On one hand a great way to keep editions together and show them off with a way of combineing an stet of art to to tie everything in .

On the other hand will they be indevidualy sealed inside . Now taking them in and out of the hard box may only may might mean scuffs to the steelbook itself IF the fit is too snug .

Dredd is a box edition for me no matter what a no brainer on my part . Eather way can not wait to see what FA come up with :) .

Can never have too much Dredd... :D Pretty sure I'll be going with E1 + E2 but I'll await news on this "hardbox" edition... :watch: Can we expect a nice #4 on the side of the box you think... ? :bag:

That is true. Even though I have Nova Dredd, I'm looking forward to this release more than any other. I just hope they manage to get those hardboxes out without major problems and delays. I guess we'll soon find out how things go with our very first hardbox for Love, Rosie.

Out of curiosity Hamill82 will you be opening yours ? . I am very interested in how tight the fit acctuly is .

My Blufans Pacific Rim I have to keep separate because it is too tight and WILL mark . The Dredd Nova is a little too lose . Thats the thinking with me asking . Its a rom com Love Rosie and I have a mega allergy to Rom Coms .
