It wasn't hard to guess the Dredd steelbook has scratches after seeing how they were in boxes.

Hardbox seems to have long crease on Edition 2 from top to bottom.

Well, with Steelbook, most of the times, we have been offered recycled transfers as Studios know someone will buy them for the case. Unfortunately when it comes to these premium releases, it really is frustrating when they do a botched job.

Sadly, most of the collectors don't even open theirs which implies most buy for the goodies and are content with looking at pics and videos posted in youtube.

My DeadPool Full Slip has a bump on the slip. What should I do? Ask for a replacement or just accept it?
As most don't open there is no huge outcry about QC.

~Damn, this all makes me feel very worried about mine. I haven't opened a one - not because I'm saving them for posterity but because I just don't have the space right now. I know they're all good outside, but inside, who knows? :(

As for the recycled transfers - one good reason I have backed away from some steelbooks - like Constantine, backed away from the first Terminator for that reason - but hell, it's not getting any better, is it? :)

And this makes me feel ever closer to stopping buying altogther - bargain basement handling of an allegedly premium product. You have my true sympathies

Recently received my E1, 2, 4 & 5... E1 and 4 are my faves but I'm disappointed with E2 and feel the lenti hasn't been executed well at all. Major fail IMO and not worth the extra 200CZK we had to pay because of the amazing "3D rendering" Also, my steelbook inside E1 is damaged with 2 creases on the back followed by a scratch and imperfection on the front (n) Not surprised really given how they sat for so long in an unprotected box  My steelbook inside E4 however is mint.

@carllenc @Collector03601 Please can you ask FilmArena if they will supply replacement steels for customers who have received damaged/defective ones? Thank you

Great pics. So you spent 150 to get one mint Steelbook? :naughty::p
Trust you to look at it like that lol... E2 I haven't opened as I'll try to sell for cost (or trade) but at this stage I'd be content if FA supplied a replacement steel for my E1. Overall I'm happy with E1 + 4 and 5 is ok (haven't opened it yet :p). Have to fulfil my #DreddHead needs hence my multi-dip ;)

I got E1 and E4. E4 is a keeper as I prefer poster arts.

At least these look a bit better than Deadpool.

Passed E2 as it was not Dredd's face on the Lenti lol. Even more glad I passed as it looks like the Lenticular is a letdown like Deadpool Lenticular. Shame that FA don't get slated like Zavvi despite charging silly money.

Hope they offer free replacements or a part refund.

Seeing them all side by side, E4 is definitely the best one for me. Glad that I switched :joy:
You chose wisely ;) Only thing I hoped for which is lacking was some form of texture/nice finish on the back opposed to being plain and flat... Front spot gloss is nice though and I like the addition of the title :D If I had to keep just one, E4 it would be. E1 would greatly benefit from a small red title just like E4's IMO.

This is ridiculous and totally unacceptable. If Zavvi did this with a standard fifteen quid steelbook everyone would be up in arms. This is an allegedly premium product.
We all know they shouldn't be shipped as they often are in unportected boxes, and nor sould they be kept that way in stock; they're vulnerable!

I don't know what mine are like they haven't arrived yet; but for all those with damaged steels, I feel geat sympathy. They really need to be replaced; but if this is deemed impossible,, then a substantial refund should be offered - not an FA credit!

I agree Jack (wait, did I really just say that?! :giggle::p). But seriously, it is appalling that many of these steels with obvious defects actually passed QC checks (if any took place that is...).

It may not be true but I was lead to believe FA manually check each steel prior to assembling their packages to ensure everything is in perfect order, obviously not! We've waited what's seemed an age for this to arrive and now it has, this is what we get???!!! :blackeye: Bitterly disappointing......... :dunno:

Fright Night wasn't a premium title but the quality was disappointing for a lot of people (me included). For a premium price steelbook like Dredd I can understand why people are upset. I think I'll stop buying steelbooks and use the money for cheap easyjet holidays instead!
