I have also messaged Zavvi about the "Missing Keychain"..But knowing their customer service record It's probably a waste of time.

Okay these people are useless, I got a reply to my message.

I said i can't confirm I receievd my steelbook to confirm it had the key chain because they had only sent it out that morning and I said other customers are reporting this with no key chain and to find out if it's being sent seperately and this is the reply I got..... Oh and my name is not who they call me!!!!! What the hell

Hello Farooq,

Thank you for getting in touch about your order.

I'm very sorry that you have not received the Exclusive Numbered Keychain with your order.

As a gesture of goodwill we would like to offer a partial refund of 10% for your missing item.

Please confirm if this is acceptable.

If there is anything else that we can do, then please do not hesitate to get in touch and a member of our team will be happy to help.

Kind regards,

Showmir

I don't think there ever was a keychain as Zavvi usually charge a fee upfront for gifts and dispatch them first. Just a way to make you pay too much for a steel then give you a 10% refund if you complain.

Only my opinion though.

judging by zavvi's response of offering a laughable 10percent discount, nobody will receive the keychain. if the keychains were being sent separately, they would simply say so. they wouldnt offer you a 10percent refund when the know the keychains are on the way.

bearing this in mind also reveals another offence- false advertising. this release has been a long time coming, and they even recently re-listed it on the hut, so they had plenty of time to amend any errors.

its total incompetence (and potential foul play) on zavvis part

i will surely file with paypal and get my money that way if i have to. I cant send the stupid POS steelbook back since i am in the states. I really only bought it because of the pin. I have the japan version already as it is. Really poor service from Zavvi once again. Slowly but surely they are driving us away from their releases.

My point was how useless they are, the response made no sense to my orginal reply and they are calling me someone completely different!
They are Idiots

Hey Farroke-that stinks, I hope someone gives you an answer that makes more sense and helps you :(
(Further butchering of your name is obviously just a joke) ;) If no one received a keychain, sounds like there was a foul up with picking the orders properly. The keychain was probably located in a different location than the Steelbook and hence not packaged together-just my opinion based on knowledge of what "can" happen on distribution/logistics level with these kind of "extra items" not shrinkwrapped inside-I don't have any "inside" knowledge pertaining specifically to Zavvi's fulfillment operation regarding this item. Massive error for sure, if "no one" received them, though.

Yeah it's either no keyring and something's happened and it won't be sent. Or maybe a week or 2 when they arrive separately they send them out. But they seem to be sendings everyone offering 10% partial refund. Which they nornally do on standard practise so maybe the customer service have no clue of this keychain

Wow!

You are the second person on this thread (in a matter of hours) that was called Farooq.

Just goes to show what a 'copy and paste' job their replies are.

So lazy.

I did not even realise someone else had posted they had been called that.
Funnily enough zavvi (I know they are the same company) called me a different name in a query last week and I forgot to post it.
Absolute jokers

This gives further credence to my hypothesis that the Zavvi/The Hut Customer Service is run by an outsource company who have no direct contact with Zavvi/The Hut and only send out template responses. Years ago I worked for companies like this and have sent the same type of answers and often copied and pasted responses out. I once sent out about 20 emails all with the same name!

Although I'm not 100% certain, I'm pretty sure that these get shipped from Jersey, a third party storage/shipping facility, for all things DVD, blu Ray, CDs etc. for the likes of Zavvi etc I believe. I have numerous things from that neck of the woods and I used to be a courier back in the day, and I would deliver new release DVDs etc to HMV, Apollo Video, Blockbuster, Our Price( remember them?!?!) and all the packages came from Jersey.
I'm sure it's for tax reasons somewhere down the line.

The tax thing was stopped a while back that's why Play.com stopped selling direct. Zavvi/The Hut still have units there but there is no UK tax incentive anymore, although I believe they get local tax breaks/incentives.

Don't understand that at all - it's just insulting to the person messaging the company.
What's wrong with "Dear Customer" or "Dear Sir or Madam" ?

They don't work for the company so don't care if it's insulting, the majority of the people doing this sort of job are on minimum wage and do as little as they can get away with. Believe me, been there, sent that email.
