i thought it would be glossy as well, but its on its way and i like the film as well, so i'll keep it!

Wow that just looks A M A Z I N G guys, don't know when the last time I bought something from Japan and felt like this, this is one awesome looking steelbook AND it comes with a kick-a$$ looking slip that blends in ANYONE not noticed this, wow!!, finally they listened to me lol, nothing to complain about here this is da business PERIOD!, everything I could have wished for, one crazy looking steelbook that will look stunning next to its brothers: Lockout/Iron Sky etc

heh.. well i for one could have thought of a better quality matte.. at least on the picture it looks like the matte on for example alien anthology.. which looks rather cheap... but maybe its just the pictures

I'm happy we finally got a dredd steelbook. It doesn't have 3d, it isn't 3 disc, its not gloss......it still looks good to me. For those maoning about the price, this costs £25 shipped within Japan. The issue is the cost of postage from Japan to the rest of the world.
Personally I'm looking forward to this. I would like to hear about the PQ though. Its only 2d, so should be better than the UK release.

I hope the finish is better than what I'm seeing on my iPad with its Retina display. Looks pretty bad when you zoom in.
The resolution on those pictures is low so hopefully that's the issue here.

Dredd has landed...my spirits are lifted!
How come the mock up didn't have the credits on the front? Surely this is a huge difference for the finished product? A lot of people will feel short changed with this I'm sure. No 3D either. Again, not worth the hefty price tag IMO. Japan's been falling short with their last few Steelbook outings.
