Despite the huge cost of buying and importing to the UK I am still tempted. What is really holding me back is the potential that we'll see other steelbook versions. Surely someone else will cash in sooner or later. Won't they?

I think in my opinion , we will see another Dredd steelbook in the future. Look at Zavvi, they release Star Trek (the same version like play.com but 1 disc), Transformers :Revenge of the Fallen (Future shop), The Goonies (Japan Version but different artwork), Warriors (DE version but different artwork), Nightmare before Christmas, Pans Labyrinth and more to come.

And who knows whats the exclusive of Kimchidvd #3 and #4

But the reprints will not have Japanese slips. I have now realised that steelbooks are not limited; it is the stickers and slips on them that are limited. Weird but true.

So true. The fact that this one has kanji on the front will keep it unique IMO. I'm really happy with this one.

Our very own dv8cag sorted me out and the service / price was excellent.

This is one of my favourite movies / steels of the year.

I'm sure someone will release a Steelbook in the UK at some time, but the Japanese steel is gorgeous and Dredd is such a quality film it's definitely worth a double dip-or even a double, double dip in my case!

This is released through EIV in the UK and at the moment they are not releasing steelbooks. You could be waiting a long time.

I bought this from a HDN member at cost because it had a lose disc, i managed to fix the disc back in place without opening it, great looking steelbook, i have the french 3D FNAC jumbo metal case too, i really like that also. Would be nice if the uk released this too, i expect Zavvi or maybe HMV will release it sooner or later.

You know what, you are absolutely right. Asian slips make the steelbook very unique.

No kanji this is katakana, you can read "Jajji Doreddo" for "Judge Dredd"

Mine worked out at about £50.00 with import duty from HMV Japan.

Took about five days to reach the UK and was then held up in customs for a couple, while I paid the £20.00 duty.

Very well packaged by HMV Japan and arrived in perfect condition.

No complaints really apart from the Nasty UK tax man taking a big bite!
