I don't know if this is the place to ask, but if anyone happens to find copies of this in-store and would be willing to pick up an extra for me, I'd pay retail plus a generous tip for the effort. I'm really bummed I missed out, I'm kind of new to this and didn't really expect it was possible for something like this to sell out over a week before an official release.

Yes, it's the same here. There won't be any copies on display until Monday the 30th, though of course they'll have them in the stockroom well before that (no doubt busily sticking on all those damn security tapes that are such a b!tch to peel off! )

I used to work at a retailers who sold UK Blu Rays and we were always given strict instructions not to display or sell stock before the official release date. I doubt HMV would break their dealer agreement, so yeah, I'd be amazed if any of them offered it before the 30th.

With regards to offering it early, in store you won't see this before the 30th. Movies never get put on shelves before release date, sometimes games do (I too used to work for a retailer who sold movies, games, etc) and sometimes games would break the street date but never movies.

Hopefully HMV online will despatch early and I might see this on saturday

Can everyone keep me posted if they do see this turn up early please (or if anyone is in Ireland especially) - be good to know before the 30th is this is likely to be in-store - the GB is growing rapidly and want to get a feel for just how many shops I may have to visit and whether I need to take the day off!

Wow, just noticed this is already selling for £90 on eBay. If they don't make any more then this one could end up being the UK's most sought-after steelbook.
