I bet there are some "mint" copies on Ebay.... The package comes, you open it,oh so carefully, the heart is pounding.... wiping sweat from your brow, you look down... J card (tick), no creases to said card (tick) no noticeable marks to top half of steel book (tick)

You take of the J card... and it just blurts out... what the fuuu.. your mother fuu... (kids told to leave room)

You contemplate a marker pen, to cover up the crime. You put the steel book down and squint your eyes "that scratch aint too bad" you say. You then pick it up and down 50 times in a two minute period, in some way hoping the damage will just be a bad dream.

You then consider it a "good price, so you will keep it. 30 seconds later, the OCD monster arrives. There is no way back. You read the listing again "mint?" MINT?! The sweats start again. The missus tries to console you, but all you can do is shout "OOP!" and "SOON TO BE RARE". You are at this point, now shaking with complete rage. "I don't want the f##kin French version" you say.

You message the seller, make him aware of his crimes to humanity. They cave in after you threaten to beat him with a £5.89 copy of Pitch Black.

You get it for £17.99 and it becomes the Jon Snow of your steel book collection.

Of course, you leave that SOB negative feedback!:scat:

The End :D

Very funny, making fun of the OCDs out there, no? Do you even know how hard is for us to be like that? Huh? DO YOU??!!

I'm just kidding. :hilarious:

Ha!

I am now part of OCD crew, with steel books anyway. My fear of death has been replaced by things such as "SPINE SLASH" AND "DINKS" "DENTS" :ohno:

Its good fun though, but its addictive AND expensive!

So under the Jcard there was a scratch or dent?

Took the plunge on this one. Loved the film, loved the artwork and had to have it. Bought for £49.00 on ebay Like New. Sadly came with two tiny paint chips though. Anyone else notice any chipping on their copies? I wish i collected/bought steels around the time this came out. Such a great steelbook and fantastic film.

I really wish I owned this. :(

Same here. Unfortunately when this came out, I wasn't collecting steelbooks. For me to pay 50GBP for this is too much. That's why I keep praying for KimchiDVD to release a Drive steel lol.

Haha same. I was so let-down when I found out kimchi wasn't releasing Drive any time soon. :(

I've only bought a steel to over-price once, and I kinda regret it now tbh. So I'll just pray for a re-release.

No they weren't. To be honest ive bought sealed steels from the like a zavvi before and they've had similar chips. I paid a fair whack for this but a fair price compared to others on ebay. Should i really ask for a partial refund? I kind of shot myself in the foot by leaving positive feedback already, due to him sending it very well packed and quickly. I know its not perfect but what is these days!? Am i crazy?

Let us know how you get on. There are a few others for sale on ebay, around the price you paid, so there is always a plan b!

Good luck
