If the release date is the 29th then I would say nothing is confirmed until somebody actually receives it. If Zavvi is showing a title on the spine then I believe it will indeed have a title on the spine.

Just like incredibles 2 I’m going to have to get the US version when find it for a decent price.
Although the US incredibles 2 has a different design, a much better design (and finish) it also included the 4K and bonus disc which I picked up for £20 off the bay a few months back. Hopefully my luck with US dumbo comes into play

... and although not half as nice as the U.S. edition it's still got the same lovely artwork so maybe

But in case of the spanish steelbook they‘ve updated the pictures; just click picture number 2 and 3. It has pictures on the spine. The italien one has no pictures on the spine on the amazon website BUT in fact it has some.
So I think there is a little chance that the Zavvi one has the title on it, but I also think that the „pictures on the spine“ was a last minute decision and that‘s because all the old artworks were not updated. In addition on the steelbook.com website there‘s a direct link from the european picture spine steelbook to the zavvi website (and amazon.es , etc. )
And again it makes NO SENSE to remove the title from the spine because first the movie is called Dumbo everywhere and second it is on the front cover in BIG LETTERS. So why the hell would you remove the title on the spine ?!?!?!
Yes, I completely agree that there's no 'good' reason for picture spines on a steelbook that is entitled DUMBO - which name everyone the world over would surely recognise - although it certainly wouldn't be a first for these live action remakes of Disney classics ...
... although equally accustomed to spines with titles for these live action remakes in the UK:-
(and future future steelbooks for live action THE LITTLE MERMAID, LADY AND THE TRAMP, MULAN, CRUELLA, THE SWORD IN THE STONE, PETER PAN, LILO & STITCH, HUNCHBACK OF NOTRE-DAME, PINOCCHIO, SNOW WHITE etc.).

Well, theres some news regarding the artwork with this, I've just seen zavvi have changed the artwork on there listing (yesterday I think) as it is now showing as having icons/pictures on the spine and not the title. There will be some annoyed buyers out there....it was showing the title as late as yesterday morning, I know as I looked at the listing.
I suspect Disney knew this was a dud and scrapped a full print run with title and just shared it with Europe,

As much as I like the front, I cancelled this during the week. Will pick up the 4K amaray in a sale down the line.
there is a thing called false advertising. I dont think zavvi deliberately do it, but I would say they are not very proactive in getting up to date info/images for their products.
while you could forgive them under normal circumstances, the fact they name themselves the home of steelbooks makes it infuriating. its superficial.
in my mind the home for steelbooks would be the go to place for steelbook releases, with all the info you would expect. I mean, sometimes we are offered a pre order with absolutely no idea what the product looks like. its a very bad practice
some simple information about embossing and finish makes all the difference. changing product images after dispatch is simply incompetent
as a customer I want to make informed buying decisions. not feel duped

Me too. Was sent at 05:20, apparently (the dispatch email, that is - not necessarily the steelbook itself!)
Wow! Sh*tty move Disney & zavvi changing the mock up so close to taking payment. And for reverting back to picture spines

It’s hard to read his posts when the majority is just random waffle about things like Shakespeare and how comparable he is to the works of the Wachowski’s post transgender in the most strangest parallel possible or a thousands pictures of a silhouette of a mallard duck eating sour cream Pringles and comparing it to the many arts of the exorcist.
