Today, Gearbox Publishing and Cryptic Studios announced that Neverwinter’s 26th module, Demonweb Pits, is now available on PC and PlayStation and Xbox consoles. The new module for the free-to-play Dungeons & Dragons MMORPG has adventurers challenge the spider-goddess of the drow, Lolth, to drive Lolth out of the Material Plane and save the city of Menzoberranzan once and for all. For the first time ever in Neverwinter, adventurers can explore a new adventure zone, Narbondellyn, that lets you explore the grounds of House Fey-Branche, a powerful house of Menzoberranzan. The Demonweb Pits module also brings a challenging Demonweb Pits dungeon with an epic battle against Lolth and challenging hunts throughout Menzoberranzan, and quality of life improvements, including a new streamlined leveling experience for players. This module marks the end of the Menzoberranzan story arc, as the next module for Neverwinter will be like anything players have seen in Neverwinter before.

Following the events of Menzoberranzan, Gromph Baenre, the Archmage of Menzoberranzan, has recovered his lost demon summoning tome, Zhaun'ol'leal. Pouring over ancient texts within the Sorcere, the Archmage hoped to find a way to gain access to Lolth’s domain within the Abyss, the Demonweb Pits. This caused a spell to materialize and fracture under its own weight, resulting in the Material Plane and the Demonweb Pits to be connected -- allowing demons, including Lolth, to step into the Underdark and a torrent of abyssal magic to flood into the Narbondellyn district. To stop Menzoberranzan from being torn asunder, you’ll need to join forces with Noori, a brilliant Sorcere mage and cousin to the Archmage, to seal the rift and send Lolth back to the Abyss!
Demonweb Pits introduces plenty of playable content and exciting updates for all Neverwinter adventurers, including:
  • New Adventure Zone – Narbondellyn: Discover a new neighborhood, home to the towering Narbondel landmark of Menzoberranzan.
    • For the first time ever, explore the grounds of House Fey-Branche, a powerful house of Menzoberranzan and assist this venerable and mighty house in constructing the powerful Realm Engine to drive back Lolth!
  • New Dungeon – The Demonweb Pits: Archmage Gromph’s fractured spell has blurred the lines between Menzoberranzan and the Demonweb Pits, and the heroes of Neverwinter must band together to drive Lolth out of the Material Plane. Enter the Demonweb Pits dungeon to challenge Lolth in an epic battle, and discover new secrets, bosses and rewards.
    • This brand-new dungeon has players choose from three difficulty tiers:
      • Normal and Advanced difficulties for random queues
      • Master difficulty for players seeking an ultimate challenge
  • New Menzoberranzan Hunts: Take on challenging hunts throughout all Menzoberranzan neighborhoods that will have you go up against horrifying monstrosities from both the Underdark and the Demonweb Pits itself. Band together with fellow adventurers to defeat these foes, close the opened abyssal tears into Menzoberranzan and harness the power of the Demonweb Pits!
    • With these new hunts, they’ll feature modifiers for you to make each hunt more challenging to earn greater rewards, and have a mix of mechanics introduced in previous hunts from the Dragonslayer and Barovia modules for Neverwinter.
  • Post-Leveling Experience Update – The Hero’s Path: This new leveling experience update, “The Hero’s Path” Meta Adventure Set, offers goals for players after reaching level 20 (the max level in the game), along with new rewards as you make leveling progress – extending the new user-experience and improving guidance into the endgame experience for Neverwinter.
    • In the Adventure Log, players will find the new leveling experience under the “The Hero’s Path”, which has them run through the game in a tutorial/guided format, as it teaches the players about gameplay mechanics (e.g., combat, currency, etc.) and suggests different areas of the game to explore.

Today, Gearbox Publishing and Cryptic Studios announced that Neverwinter’s new module, Spelljammer will launch on PC, PlayStation and Xbox consoles on November 7. The upcoming major update for the free-to-play Dungeons & Dragons MMORPG will let adventurers go on thrilling space-based adventures within the infinite, airless world of Wildspace. Originally introduced in the Dungeons & Dragons Spelljammer: Adventures in Space book, Neverwinter’s Spelljammer module will introduce a brand-new Spelljammer story arc. Featuring an Adventure Zone unlike any other in Neverwinter, Spelljammer brings various planets to explore, a new challenging Trial to conquer, and new quality-of-life improvements.

In Spelljammer, reports of falling stars across all of Toril has led Lord Neverember to summon adventurers to investigate this ill omen. However, while bolstering the city’s defenses, the city of Neverwinter is struck by an astral seed – leading to an assault from Astral Elves of the Xaryxian Empire. During this battle, a spelljammer ship, the Moondancer arrives with the offer of assistance against his deadly empire and departs to Wildspace. Alongside the crew of the Moondancer, you’ll need to journey to various planets and convince the inhabitants to ally against the Xaryxian Empire and save Toril!
Heroes who take on this thrilling space-based adventure will find plenty of content in Neverwinter:
  • New Adventure Zone – Wildspace - A new style of adventure zone never seen before in Neverwinter! Wildspace isn’t a single planet, or area, and it’s not on Toril/ Faerûn -- Wildspace is composed of different Landing Sites, each with a unique story, various quests, and different inhabitants all inspired by Spelljammer: Adventures in Space. In addition, there is a special Invasion site where the players battle against the Xaryxian Empire in a race against the clock.
  • New Trial – Defense of the Moondancer – In this new trial, The Moondancer is ambushed by a Xaryxian ship, the Dirty Deceit. Damaged in a surprise attack and boarded, players will need to battle through the Moondancer’s halls and fight their way aboard the Dirty Deceit to defeat Captain Xoor’lar. The new trial will have three difficulty tiers (Normal, Advanced, Master) along with new rewards unique for each difficulty, with the best rewards from the challenging Master difficulty version of the trial.
  • New Quality-of-Life Improvements – The new module will bring multiple quality-of-life improvements to Neverwinter:
