Just put in my pre-order with Target. Also i'm still keeping my U.K. order with HMV double dip

That's exactly why I'm staying with my FS edition, I don't want to have to play the guessing game.
Hey does anybody know what the packing is like with Target? Is it shoddy or good?
It's shoddy, only chance of better packaging id to order more than 1

The whole thing was just so unsettling and creepy to me. One of the few films I have ever felt really, truly uncomfortable watching, and I've seen the gamut when it comes to horror flicks, exploitation movies, etc.
I did place a pre-order, though. The Steel does look very nice and if nothing else, just to experience Target's online order service to gauge whether or not I'll use it in the future.
Definitely not getting this one :/ ill stick to the UK version. I dont support Target so thats too bad.
So it appears the listing has updated. Says now "available only at Target" and not "Available only at Target.com"... So it's possible that this could be an in store item too.
Well Target really sucks. I had the issue with them for the C&A steel. So they deleted my account. I set up a new account with different email address and payment type. They just deleted that account too. Thank god I kept my Amazon.uk order.
Looks like this will be available in stores on Oct. 9th per the website link. So for those that don't want to take a gamble with Target's shipping practices you have a second option

Cool good to see that a few will make it to the stores. Target wound up doing the same thing this past March with the Muppet movie Target exclusive Wacka Wacka blu ray edition with bonus DVD. That was originally a Target.com only order. But there were a few Target stores (mostly the SuperTargets) that got like 2-3 copies in store. So if not all Targets get the E.T. steelbook in store because of limited quantities. I guess you just have to roll the dice & see what Target will get it where ever you may live. It looks to be a larger run on the steelbook & not like the C&A Target steel that was only limited to 500 copies. But hey as steelbook collectors that's the fun part of hunting it down at the store & finding a mint copy
i hate that all these cool exclusives are getting released after i started school.luckily Target opens early so i can go by there before school starts, hopefully there will be many copies of this available or at least a few available at all Targets
can't believe the USA is coming out with a steelbook that almost never happen. Its about time we get some love, I just hope that this leads to more steelbooks in the USA but I doubt it or maybe is just Target thinking about getting into selling steelbooks because this is the second exclusive tittle they've release. Cowboys and Aliens was the first and it sold out right away, they only had 500 copies.
