I really wish they’d quit making Blu Ray only releases, but they still make DVDs, so I guess I’m not getting my wish for another 20 years. On the plus side, by 4k Elf will cost 10 bucks or less.

Not sure if this is new art or not, but considering National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation got a new art release, this may be one too.

Oh god I love that art better than the original.

Weirdly with Nat lampoons I prefer the original to the new....

... looking as perfect for the movie as it's possible to be and above all another priced most attractively for the domestic market.

Mmmm to double dip or not to double dip.... that is the question?

Hopefully they will add another new film to the Xmas Steelbook range like Jingle All The Way....

I like this new art better, if doesnt turn out gloss I def wont upgrade .... I do welcome "gift giving" steels tho ... and I think these xmas redo's are just that and being smart by also using diff art to appeal to our audience too instead of just a straight up reprint.

Either way, while $14.99 is attractive gonna take a sale or coupon for me to get at 9.99 to replace and sell as of xmas movies this is one my least fave. Christmas Story, Home Alone, and Christmas Vacation are higher up on my list.

I do like that the other version came with a partial soundtrack. But this is definitely a nice release

Yep I forgot about that too and the set had the dvd as well. Out of all the old releases the one whose art that could have been better was Scrooge’s as the inside art was just the skyline.
