Embossing/Debossing

Anyone else notice they are not embossing/debossing with like a thinner gauge or something?

Looking at Captain America or POTA Apes France I was able to notice the raise in letters is much smaller and even in the inline set for debossing.

When looking at older steels like Iron Man FS or Hellboy 2 Germany I notices its much thicker. The steels are a bit heavier too.

Yes i noticed that too. Compared to older releases like IM or Death Race new released embossed/debossed steels like Captain America or ***** Slap seem to be made of a thinner material and feel like they are a bit lower quality.

Oh well, I'd rather have "semi" embossing/debossing than nothing at all.

I didn't notice this until i got my Cowboys & Aliens from UK. But it does seem this way for some releases.

On the other hand my Iron Man 2 from Korea the embossing is just like the old ones. Even the embossing on Thor from UK seems fine and the debossing on my Green Zone Germany seems fine too. Again Im just talking about ones that I recently acquired and not necessarily new releases.

And I hate to say it but the embossing on my X-Men First Class is amazing and its a metalpak... same applies to the viva metal boxes amazing... just saying

Yeah I noticed that CA has a little bounce to it on the cover. Not that I like embossing that much anyways, reminds me of a lunch box. I like debossing better

Cheaply like Jurassic Park G1 steelbook? By the way I'm still looking for just the case
