Did I miss something? what is it actually doing?
It's a 3D effect lenticular, not a flip-flop one like you're probably used to. The intention is to show a fairly stationary 3D image, generally with a little more depth on either side as you move it.

That video is poorly done though, they should have been moving the lenticular to show the effect rather than the camera like that. Either way, based on the video I'm confident it'll look good in-hand.

They tend to still move depending on how you look at it though!
 
Quite like that Mona Lisa always looking at you eye thingy lenti. Better than flip flop nonsense. That lenti will definitely look better IN HAND.
