you mean a wwa steel was put out and hmv just happened to pick it up first more like or are you saying this was art was directly created because hmv asked for it????

basil

I am saying that without a big retailer like HMV releasing this it would likely not exist at all.

:rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl::rofl:

think you will find it would exist where demand requires it!
we all know studios create an offer of a product then the retailers fight to get it, its that simple.
nothing to with hmv other than they wanted it to sell and if you believe different, can i have some of what your snorting it must be good

I am pretty sure Film Arena would not have had approval for an edition of a few hundred copies had they been the only retailer to release this.

but they were not only the only ones snooloui and that is exactly the point, there are in total 11 releases world wide with 10 being the same art which backs up what im saying really and makes what you implying very less likely if you think im wrong look for yourself its all there in black and white

https://www.hidefninja.com/communit...ings&t=post&o=date&c[title_only]=1&c[node]=39

countrys being japan, poland, hong kong, germany, thailand, uk (hmv), taiwan, czech and italy

the only different one was france

so i don't see how only hmvs involvement was crtical to this release at all

The point I am making is that this edition would not exist but for the barebones editions released by the likes of HMV so criticising them makes little sense. I didn't choose to mention HMV specifically I simply responded to Blu-devil's comment. If you actually read posts rather than posting inflammatory remarks and smilies at the end of every sentence you may have realised that. HMV are one of the biggest retailers when it comes to Steelbooks, probably second to Amazon in the list of countries you mentioned, so my point is not without merit. The German edition is not the same by the way, you may want to double check your facts before posting. I don't know why but you seem to have an issue with me, if that is the case then you may want to make use of the ignore feature.

right snooloui let me put a few things straight here so i'm clear, i don't have an issue with you personally and never did.
sometimes people will just out right disagree with another on what has been said and have a differing view on things is that not aloud anymore?
be a very boring forum if could not agree to differ!

from where i'm sitting you made a comment saying that this version would have never ever existed without and you quoted hmv in this case.
I disagree with that comment, when you made that comment it was broadly sweeping statement without concrete foundation, in fact the reason the smileys where used because i thought the comment laughable tbh in your post166 which was your words not mine.

whether this had been hmv amazon or zavvi this steel still would have existed without any of them as long as a steel is in demand by any retailer it becomes available just because there big is neither here nor there tbh someone will always pick it up, thats the laws of supply and demand.

yes film arena in this case is using wwa steels and then jazzing them up with extras we all know that but i don't see you point other than to come along and put it down saying without the large boys it would never exist, as your a steelbook collector i'm am quite stupefied tbh as i don't see the gain.

as to inflammatory remarks i'm actually trying to work out what i put that was actaully inflammatory or could be taken that way, i just disagreed with you and said so. the only smiliey i would consider mildely upsetting to you may have taken the wrong way is the facepalm but wasn't meant in such a way.

anyway i've said my bit i leave i there.

Can we keep it friendly please guys, if you want to continue the discussion take it to PM. This argument is going nowhere and just ends up derailing the thread. Thanks.
