Fan Events

Hey guys, not sure if this is the place, but I love hearing about movie events, screenings etc and over the next couple of weeks I'm lucky enough to be able to attend 2 awesome fan events here in Sydney!

Tomorrow evening I'm going to a Game of Thrones event which consists of a screening of a fan-voted episode, attendance and Q&A with Michelle Fairley and the opportunity to sit in a replica of the famous throne!

In a couple of weeks I'm also attending a special screening of Die Hard 5 which will be hosted by Jai Courtney. I thought it'd be cool to tell you guys about this but also welcome anyone else to share experiences of special screenings or fan events.

I've just gone to 2 comic-cons and E3 ... probably about the most I've done in regards to events within the industry.

With a new baby on the way I feel I will be tied up for E3 adn SDCC this year but I hope to get to both next year and CES.

Thanks guys - will definitely take photos. Apparently the throne is there purposely FOR photo ops so should be pretty cool.

My dream is to go to San Diego Comic Con someday. When I lived back in the UK there wasn't much too close to me to attend, but now I'm in Sydney there is a LOT going on. Supanova Expo is pretty cool. It's a Pop Culture Expo and so much fun as so many people go in Cosplay. It's noway on the same scale as Comic Con but still fun to go and pick up some cool swag and merchandise. Great if you're a fan of comic books because a lot of artists go and sell some really cool pieces and of course, are willing to autograph various bits. I got to meet David Mack last year who in my opinion is just an incredible artist.

A really enjoyable night with such an extensive Q&A and a screening of Blackwater. We were all given complimentary DVDs of HBO TV shows on the way in too!

I'm off to the Die Hard screening with Jai Courtney tonight so will be sure to post any photos if I get the opportunity to take any!
