I'm guessing the back artwork isn't as bad in person. There has to appear to be more of a gradient effect that fades into the black. If not, that's such an irregular outline. Even if a designer were to cut and paste it, they would knowingly leave more outside room for a gradient effect. Maybe, they'll catch it and Zavvi saves their name by offering a Recall - a painstakingly, drawn-out, bite the bullet exchange program.

I got mine today, i don't know what people are going on about. I think its pretty, yes its not spectacular but its nice. I like the film and thus am happy with it.

I really like the front and the inside, but backside and slip design are just.......meh.

Missed another chance to make a great steel, just like the last few Disney/Pixar releases at Zavvi.

But maybe they get enough feedback to improve for the next releases.
I've still not given up hope.

I'm sad to read so many starting to accept and feel semi satisfied with these dull steelbooks. For 22.99, 24.99 or whatever absurd prices they are charging, I expect a hell of a lot more that just "ok".
:(

why should someone do this on purpose?

Maybe because Zavvi doesn't care and is just trying to make money? Although that isn't working so well in this case since alot of people have cancelled their orders. :hilarious:

But in summary, whoever designed this steelbook was just lazy, it's that simple. I doubt the backcover is ugly because of some error during the prouction either.

Not a happy customer here. Got one of these for my niece's birthday next weekend and it is damaged... does not close at the top as the latch is broken. 2 days later I get a response and they will not re-send until I send the other back... so no present for my niece next week. What would I do with a damaged one anyway!!! They will not re-send until I send the other one back and they are so busy with returns, they cannot give an eta when my other one will be sent out. They have my money so now have total control!! Not impressed by them at all. Customer service is terrible. A lot of people on here rave how good Zavvi are, but I have yet to see it!

I understand why you would be angry but I don't know very maby retailers that do advanced replacement.

I'm angry as I even offered to give them the code you get when returning the item to say its on its way. I'm angry that because they have a back log of returns ( surprise surprise) I have to wait for them to get round to processing mine before they will re-order. quick enough to take my money, but then take their time to process returns/complaints, even by giving them the return code given to me by the shop taking the parcel they will not send out a replacement.
