After 3 trips to 3 dofferent best buys I was able to finally find one without any damage to it. I did end up opening one and found damage behind the jcard so i had to go back and do an exchange. Luckily the one I exchanged it for had no damage whatsoever.

I did however manage to snap a picture of the UV code from the one I returned if someone would like it.
Sucks about the damage. This is just me, but I wouldnt give away the code for the one you returned. It may end up back on the shelves or in clearance.

I am tired of justifying 3D to haters. I don't bother anyone else and I don't understand why others want to get rid of the format I love most of all.
Before I bought my 4K tv with 3D I wasn't nearly as much of a fan but I feel 3D is MUCH better at home than in theaters. I bought into all the crap and believed you would get a sub par experience at home but nothing could be further from the truth. I don't want ANYONE to lose what they love!
I just counted again and I am up to 346 3D Blurays and damn proud of my collection!

I am glad you love 3d and I hope they keep producing it for you but I am getting tired of paying extra for a format I don't want. I love when they do the blu/dvd combo and the blu/3d combo like they did with Moana then everyone is happy. I don't have to pay extra for something I don't want like 3d and 4k and you can still get what you want. Honestly I hate discs so so so so very bad, anytime I actually have to put physical media in it makes me grind my teeth. I only want the digital copy heck half the time I give the discs away. I love my steelbooks and I love my digital thats all I want. I get so pissed when they rerelease a movie on steel and don't include the digital copy (star wars screw you cost me like an extra $70 to get all the digital copies of the films) so I get why you want your 3d just getting tired of paying extra for something I don't want like 3d or 4k. Only physical media I buy anymore is steelbooks I opt for digital on everything else if it weren't for my love of steel I'd abandon physical entirely.

So your perfect world is one where you can buy steelbooks that contain just the digital code and no discs?:rofl:

Digital copies are not even close to Blu ray quality. The sound and picture are compressed to files about 5-10GB.
Dual layer 50GB blu ray discs with uncompressed audio and video blow that out of the water.
Digital Copies are convenient - but sacrifice a great deal. It is the same difference between having a FLAC file and an MP3.

I'm slowly ripping my collection to digital copies. Screw DRM. Mainly for travels and being away from the physical discs than for a home media center.

That is the point of Digital Copies IMO. They are what you use for convenience when you can't watch the physical (and superior) version.

That's WB for you. $35 for this and a week ago, $25 for Assassin's Creed. No difference, except for the movies and the studios.

Not happy about the price (and the steel quality too) but this is the first 4k movie I've paid full price on in a while so I'll comply.

I've been reading some people post that they will wait for a price drop like with Suiciide Squad. I think Suicide Squad must have had a higher print run than this because when I bought mine today, there was only one left.

You must like watching inferior quality video and audio. I throw away every digital copy code in the trash.

My store only had 3 left when i went around 1pm. I had done an online order for store pickup, luckily they still had some because the one they store put aside for me had a small dent at the bottom. I was able to exchange it for one of the 3 they had left.

I am doing the same thing, except I am paying the $2 to do it through VUDU. I love that I can access my movies anywhere even without a player or the disc, my upstairs tv doesn't even have a player hooked to it. My phone, my computer, anywhere and everywhere.

Oddly yes hahaha actually I really don't mind having the discs as a back up. When I buy the blu/dvd combos I keep the bluray and give away the dvd. But if I could buy a steelbook with no discs and just a digital copy at a reduced rate heck yea I would do that in a heart beat (say $10-15 instead of the $19.99-34.99 they currently charge). But if I am going to pay the same I want at least a bluray copy as a backup but if I get a reduced cost yea I'd be cool with just digital.

I agree with this part, I wish the 3D disc was a 4K one instead. I've bought the UK steel but once again I'm stuck with something I can't use and my wallet isn't happy. 3D isn't even doing well anymore, 4K is a new format and I can't comprehend why it's being ignored. Frustrating really. The UK seems to be stuck in a time warp. Over the years I must've spent hundreds on 3D when you add up all those Disney and 3D Warner titles I've bought over the years. :OMG:

I like having the 3D and 4K discs, its annoying to me In the UK I have to pick between the two or double dip to get both....

Agreed. To be fair they should cater to all parties and include all three discs, but imagine the cost. Would be £30+ close to what I've paid for Asian steels but without the goodies. :(

It can be done and Sony is actually doing it at release for decent prices. All depends on the studios. WB is known to milk collectors.

Problem is we are seeing such a splintering of formats right now way worse then it was with the HD versus Blu format that happened or betamax versus vhs or laserdisc versus dvd. Right now to make everyone happy you would need a dvd/bluray/4k/3d/digital all in one package thats 5 different formats and no one wants to pay for 5 formats, I don't. Heck throw in a copy of the vhs and the laserdisc while your at it and the UMD so I can watch it on my PSP.
