Normally I don't ask these kinds of questions as I'm patient, but has anyone who ordered this from Xtra-Vision had theirs ship yet?

Mine says 'awaiting stock', which is odd as they're usually pretty quick at getting stuff out.

Not bad looking.
Shame about the back image being washed out.

Will defo pick up cheap in a sale

Heard so many bad things about this film it put me off. They just can't seem to get this team right. The first two movies ( and the low budget Roger Corman production ) are forgettable.

I know the first two were deemed terrible but I really like them. I believe had they been released now they would have done way better they had the cool comic book vibe

Not too sure about that.
I think if released now they would be even more hated.
They do have a little following and I can personally watch them but they are really crap.
There are certain parts of the originals i like but not enough to love them.
I thought this was better and darker but there was something missing

Well I disagree and I personally really like them :p

A decent story? It's never good when the director says he wasn't happy with the finished product!

The first two also lacked a decent story added with cringe acting (and I love Alba and Evans in general) and a terrible thing suit (the thing in the new film isn't great but a major improvement from the originals).

This story was probably better actually as a origin compared to the first 2 and the comics. I like the fact they go to another dimension and I bet most hated that because the comics are too precious to some people and they over react taking it personal. Don't get me wrong I wouldn't want to see other marvel films (or reboots - and they will happen eventually) and characters have their origin changed (by much) but it works for me with the fantastic four. Whatever happens to them they are in space anyway

It's a shame about the whole josh trank thing,
This has happened before with quite a few directors when the studio get too involved and want things changed and also in the editing process, stories of films coming out completely different to how the director visioned it. It's happened to other marvel films and many more away from marvel.

I have a feeling the thing from the cave in chronicle is from that planet and is kind of crossover just with the same actor lol

I don't like to say too much about a film I've not seen but when all of twitter is bashing it that sets the alarm bells ringing. You're right about the first two films, the Thing looked the same size as a normal (big) person. In the new one he's about the same size as the Hulk. The Silver Surfer looked great though!
