Ya know what, from his pictures of his collection your probably correct. He's probably got a whole shelf full of all of these harder to find steelbooks. But, that's why they're becoming more rare.....cuz he's got them all!:(;)

Well he has the budget to keep them. I could probably get many different copies of the rare steels but I don't have the budget for that. 1 copy of each is already hard enough on my wallet even tho most of the time I end up paying a fraction of the prices they go for.

Latest addition: LTBF, sealed, for... $18 :joy:

I dare you to beat that!

Rumours say these will be seen soon in Media Market's for pretty little money.
Also some other older Releases seem to be re-launched.
Faster, The DaVinci Code, Terminator Salvation and Hancock seem also to be part of this.

Hope this is not the beginning of older re-releases

Re-Releases piss me off whats the point in collecting if they are always going to re-release titles after they go oos

man..they are making "steelbook" looking like a cheap product now with crappy quality for all these re-releases. If the studio want to sell the movie, then sell the movie in the amaray for $10.

I wouldn't be unhappy if they re-released Zombieland as long as it wa the same as the old release. Sure its nice to own a rare steel though. If they were to release Zombieland again, then people who bought it for the release price won't lose out an people who paid a load of cash should know better by now. It's bound to get another release at some point it's just a question of when.

Well, the studios and scanavo should be smart enough to respect the collector community which is a large part of their consumer base and use different artwork as to not affect the originals.

And now that i hear this rumor ... I'll find out if their is truth to it .... and see what i can do...

If this ends up being the exact same I am going to throw in the towel. I am serious too. It would show a complete lack of respect to collectors.

I can see myself getting MJ, KB, Shaq rookie cards.

I'll probably join you too....

I might even stop buying movies and stream them online....and go back to statues..at least they don't do re-releases.... It's not fun anymore.

So far ... I was told Scanavo knows nothing of this ... So I'd be curious as to know where the rumor is being seen. Who knows maybe the cpu system is just showing something like "Exclusive" after it and people are thinking its steelbook.

I mean a Hancock steelbook? really? Thats hard to believe they would reprint ... unless they like stock sitting on shelves. Dont get me wrong, I like that movie ... but its still in stock on amazon.de ...

And yes I made sure to say that if it were to come true it had BETTER be different art. So yeah, I'm always trying to be the voice of reason.

Yuk-pass on all re-releases like this 'rumored' once. Makes the whole hobby cheap. Why even bother getting a 'limited' release, when it just gets re-released later. Thanks for keeping us posted Wreck!

this rumor started as one german member stated in his Store there would be the faster Steelbook for about 10 Euros.

I think these are just the "rest of the stock" since Saturn and MM work together ... And that it is a type of sale to VIP card holders

So my word is - there is no reason to belive that ther will be a rerelase .

Thanks Wreck also for checking on that.

Take care
john

Thank you very much John ... its good to piece the info together ... We cant allow good collectors like Mayflower and Chipvideo to throw in the towel ;) So we gotta help support all the spectrums of our different collectors the best we can.

I know the new collectors come in and wish everything was reprinted, but a large part of this hobby is the buzz ... and the buzz comes from hype .. and they hype comes from rarity. Rare things are good whether you own them or not ... it all comes full circle. I still want a John Rambo (.de) and have for years ... I'll grab it eventually, but I dont want it reprinted! :)

John, hopefully you and Wreck can save us some unnecessary diarrhea! :ohno:

That is funny and disgusting all at the same time.
