Hi All,

Since we've reached the half-way mark of the year, it's that time of year to jump in and share which releases are your favorites thus far.

You can suggest any Steelbook released in 2013, until December 31. I will tally the top 25 nominations, and we'll once again vote in January 2014 for the community's collective 'winner'.

Upcoming Steelbooks (2013)

Steelbook releases by country (2013)

Sec Sups-please leave in main Steelbook forum for community chat for now. Thanks!

Enjoy!:scat:

I can't really comment on any that I haven't seen in the flesh so to speak but I'd have to say Face/Off looks pretty special. Out of what I've bought myself nothing has really stood out for me a great deal other than The Goonies and World War Z .

I've just ordered the Korean T2 (not Kimchi) so that may well take over when I get it.

My favourite that I own is Future Shop's PACIFIC RIM just because it's PACIFIC RIM. Favourites that I don't own would be Blufans' FACE/OFF and OZ: THE GREAT AND POWERFUL. Overall, though, I think that my favourite this year will be Zavvi's PAN'S LABYRINTH once it's released. :scat:

Taxi Driver for me. Love the concept of his mind ticking and the finish on the shades is perfect :)

Last Stand Gold Edition or T2 KimichiDVD.. But only because like others,... I own them..
But I think with all honesty it could or should be..

Monsters Inc KimichiDVD.. and I don't own it..just looks amazing

am tied between the Taiwan Iron Man 3 and Hansel and gretel WITH slips mind.
Without, IM3 for sure. Gorgeous, simple, perfect :)
The Little Mermaid comes a close 2nd -again, super simple, excellent finish on the front IMO- and Aladdin 3rd-very good, rich colours, but recycled artwork and misaligned border ruins it a bit.

I really really like the zavvi release of the 'the town', nicely embossed with the glossiest gloss finish I've ever seen. Has a real feel of quality about it.

Shout out to:

Aladdin: love the high quality finish with vibrant colours
Finding nemo: same as above
Zero dark Thirty (nederlands) : cool spot glossing

:D

Since my last vote for steelbook of the year so far the first three you mention in bold stand out for me. Really hard to separate them but as a package maybe I like WWZ the best however as finishing goes Face/Off (Blufans) is  and The Goonies is rather spiffing as well. There's been some great steelbooks this year

Another vote for Life of Pi here. Magnetic lenticular card makes it stand out from the rest for all the right reasons. Otherwise great colours and finish and one of my all time favourite films. Honourable mentions for Black Swan, the Place beyond the Pines and Taxi Driver. Been a good year for Zavvi

I will go with Blu fans exclusive Face/Off!!! All around Awesome steelbook. Also runner up will be Blu Fans Exclusive Jack Reacher with Slip case.

Oh dear what a question! I've got too many to list really. Ummmm

28 Days Later, The Goonies, Aladdin, Finding Nemo and Team America were surprises for me.

neck and neck and neck are Epic (French), Oz The Great and Powerful (Blufans), Tangled (Kimichi)

I think Oz will probably win my fav of 2013 prize in the end.
